I researched several plastic surgeons and decided on Dr. Michael Baumholtz. I was impressed by all of his credentials, expertise, training, and education. During my initial consultation, Dr. Baumholtz spent a lot of time explaining breast augmentation surgery, my prior breast surgeries and problems, possibilities of what could happen during and after the surgery, and my medical history. Dr. Baumholtz never made me feel like I needed to commit to this surgery. I decided I wanted to proceed. He wanted me to see my Cardiologist, Hematologist and Neurologist to make sure I was healthy enough to have the surgery. I left his office with a wealth of knowledge. Even my husband said, "none of the other doctors ever spent that much time with you explaining everything indepth". After I was cleared by my doctors, I met with Dr. Baumholtz to go over my capsulectomy. When I had photos done originally, I guess my hips were crooked and my arms weren’t straight when photos were taken. Measurements were taken off of that which ended up placing my nipples (especially one of them) so high that it wouldn’t be covered by any bra. I had a “correction” done which did lower them somewhat but to this day, I am embarrassed to be naked in front of my husband and one of them still pokes out of most bras. I’m very limited to the type of swim suit I can wear because my nipples show. The correction was extremely painful and I don’t have anything good to say about it. It was actually quite traumatic. I love the size and shape for sure but I’m sad that the nipple placement can’t be corrected because I can’t go through that again. Numbing didn’t work. I Would still recommend Dr Baumholtz because 1. I don’t think what happened to me is the norm and 2. they are all very attentive and friendly but my outcome (nipple placement) has somewhat taken over any self confidence I would have gained from the reduction. I really hoped they would lower with time. The day of my surgery was really good. Dr. Baumholtz was good at helping calm the nerves. I would say to anyone getting a reduction that if you see something that you question (because I did and didn’t say anything), just say something. You have to live with the results forever. Less

Dr. Baumholtz is awesome! I had consultations prior to my surgery but he definitely made me feel the most comfortable and gave me different options of what I could do in my case. He even has a 3d machine to show you what you could look like. He follows up and makes sure that you are happy with your results- which I definitely am. 10000% recommend.

I called on a Friday evening after noticing that one of my implants had possibly ruptured. I was scared and didn't know what to do. After leaving a message that night, I received a phone call the very next morning from the office manager who listened to all my concerns which made me feel better immediately. They were able to fit me in first thing Monday morning. When I saw Dr. Baumholtz, he told me that I had a capsular contracture (nothing threatening), but given my medical history and older age he required me to have clearance from my primary care physician along with a few other tests. I was able to obtain clearance that afternoon, and my surgery was scheduled and performed on Wednesday morning (the day before Thanksgiving).
