Explained how my back was in need of serious attention, that I should come in three times a week, and there were a few things my insurance would not cover but were needed for a “full recovery.” I left this appointment without scheduling a third. On my way home, I called my insurance company and asked what was covered…nothing…River City Chiropractic, despite what they tell you, is not covered by most insurance companies. While on the phone, my insurance company provided several other chiropractors who do take insurance. To this I advise all to call their insurance companies first!!! Save yourself some time and $50. Not only are the appointments less than 5 minutes of him actually working on you, and is the exact same work he does on every other person (as you can see him work on everyone else) the majority of what you pay for is work you do on your own. On top of that after only 6 visits they have charged me over $1000, which is almost double the agreed upon cost per visit. I signed up for monthly payments, and 13 days after my first payment of $530 I was sent an email informing me that I was to be charged another $530 on the 20th day after my initial payment. I replied to that email that they must have the payments wrong as it was supposed to be monthly payments not every 3 weeks. I emailed them twice with no response. On the 20th day they billed my account for the second $530. I expressed my displeasure and decided I did not want to continue their services and asked for a refund of over payment and a itemized statement, which was my right per the contract I signed. 7 days later they sent me itemized invoice for $8 less than what I paid and a email saying they refunded the $8. In the invoice they changed almost $400 for "at home equipment" that not only was not in the contract I signed but also what was given to me, without my asking for it, as they explained it was included with the services. Not only did I never left there feeling like I was actually adjusted not like I was getting anything that worked towards adjustment, they constantly were trying to sell supplements, vitamins and constantly tried to sell you on the idea that you need them for life otherwise you would die faster from organ failure. I am still waiting for a reply to my email contesting their bs claims that 6 visits cost $1000 when the contract was for 29 visits for $2300. You do the math! I would rate them 0 stars if I could. I’ve absolutely loved coming in over the last few months. I have pretty severe vertigo, and we discovered a multitude of issues with my spine and neck. Since coming in, the vertigo has lessened, and I’m not longer have bad pain in my neck and upper back. The ladies at the front desk are so helpful, and easy to talk to! Hearing loss, constant headaches, loss of smell, bad joints, hips, knees, IBS, a lot of stuff you wouldn't think would be related to your spine. I have my reservations about chiropracters and they scare me but Dr. Brian took the time to review my X-rays and show me in comparrison what a healthy spine should look like. He showed me what health issues I have that are coorelated with the the issues I have in my neck and back. I have a lot of issues that need addressed and he laid out an entire plan of action in phases to address them. I had my first adjustment and he was careful, conscious of my nervousness, and before I knew it it was done! After a car accident last year, I had been struggling to find any relief from the pain my injuries caused. I am in overall good health, no pain, and didn’t have any problems that I knew about, but it was brought to my attention that I was standing crooked and leaning to one side. I had never thought of having my spine checked, but I knew I probably should. After about three months of this, he took X-rays again and I’ve improved a lot and am now on a revised maintenance plan. This experience has opened my eyes to how important our spines are to our overall health. I just didn’t consider my spine at all before this time, and I don’t think a lot of people do. It’s the last place we look, but it should be the first. Dr Brian is a true corrective chiropractor, is knowledgeable about all aspects of good health. Also, offering exercises I can do at home to help compliment the adjustments, I think is brilliant! I had been told from numerous doctors that they couldn't figure out the cause and that I just needed to treat them with medication. Upon coming in for my first appointment just over a year ago, Dr. Brian took xrays and pretty much immediately able to tell me the likely cause of my migraines; my neck was curved in the wrong direction. He came up with a plan to help restore the curve in my neck as well as help other areas of my spine that I was having issues with.
