Because my options for my BP medication were limited into just one medication, the dosage was progressively getting higher as the disease progresses. I tried to find other solutions to just keep myself healthier by second guessing what supplements out there I could use by just reading or researching online. Of course nothing works until my friend introduced me to Dr Meena. I went to her with this problem and agreed with her 6 month treatment plan. I’ve been seeing her at least more than 4 months now and I’m already half the dose of my current BP meds while keeping my BP within normal range. Dr Meena is very thorough with her approach; she was able to “nail it” what’s the underlying cause of my HTN (all the while I thought it was just my bad genes). I also lost weight with the program. Over the past 27 months, Dr. Meena Malhotra and Heal n Cure have changed my life. I am 49 years old and have had a weight problem my entire life. I have tried countless diets and have always worked out (I am a former competitive HS/college athlete) but have never been able to conquer my weight issues. In summer 2019, I saw my PCP for my annual physical and the results/her comments were very sobering. I was very overweight but also pre-diabetic with high cholesterol and other issues. My PCP told me to make dramatic changes or she feared I was headed toward diabetes and possible other problems. I had seen ads for Dr. Meena's seminars in our local paper so I decided to attend one after spending a lot of time on Heal n Cure's website and reading reviews. My PCP is wonderful but had suggested seeing a nutritionist which I had done many, many times in the past but was never able to keep the weight off. I knew I needed a new approach. I needed to find someone who could take an educated, in-depth, holistic view of my current medical situation and really help me figure out what is going on. That person was Dr. Meena. We immediately connected and I loved her approach of figuring out the roots of my problems - not just taking pills to mask them. I signed up for the 6 month program and was determined, especially given the cost, that I would follow everything she told me to do. We started with detoxifying my body which was much needed. After the first month, we then moved on to an elimination diet which helped me, through trial & error, determine which foods work for my body and which do not. This was a lot of work TBH but really the most critical part of my journey. I discovered that several food groups do not work for me so I eliminated them from my diet. Through this process (during which I monitored not only my weight but skin, energy level, bathroom situation, mood, etc.), I was able to finally understand it is not how much I eat but WHAT I eat. I have never counted calories under Dr. Meena's care. I started by journaling my food but I don't even do that anymore. I have lost close to 100bls and completely transformed my body. I also started working out consistently in December 2019 and love the strength, endurance, cardio capacity, stress relief this provides but I don't see workouts as the key determinant to my weight loss. For me, the weight loss is almost entirely from changing my relationship with food, my understanding of what works for my specific body chemistry and seeing food less as entertainment (former foodie here!) and more as fuel for my body. Once I lost a significant amount of weight and excess water, we started to tackle my hormone imbalances which has been an another amazing chapter in my journey. None of this would have been possible without Dr. Meena and her incredible team at Heal n Cure. Although I am very close to my goals, I plan to continue to see Dr. Meena as I want the accountability, guidance and regular monitoring of issues like hormones. If you are really ready to make big changes in your life and you are willing to work hard, be patient and consistent to achieve them, then I truly believe that Dr. Meena can help you transform your body and your life. Dr Meena did not go over the results from all of them, only my bloodwork. When discussing my results and "treatment plan", the doctor pointed out certain issues and essentially told me they were due to "toxins" in my body and a vitamin imbalance. The solution was to take vitamin supplements and eat medical food provided by them, to the tune of $8,000 every 6 months. Obviously this raised huge red flags for me. I took my results (I had to ask them for all of them since they were not provided to me) to two separate doctors for a second opinion, who literally laughed at the notes Dr Meena put on my paperwork. The other doctors both said that this practice is a scam and that this practice does not know what they are doing. The things Dr. Meena had flagged in my test results were not abnormalities after all. Dr. Meena told me I had "syndromes" that were not reflected in my lab results. I feel that this practice is highly unethical and a huge scam, scamming mostly elderly people who do not understand their scientific jargon into paying for a ridiculously expensive program that does not have a scientific basis nor does it resolve the real underlying issues.
