In September, I felt ready to get back to the fitness level I once was. I was weighing in at around 150lbs, not eating well, feeling sluggish and tired and I wasn't happy with how I felt overall. I was 244lbs and started the Challenge at 233lbs and now I just got under 210lbs by a hair. My goal is 195lbs. I have also beat my pre-diabetes and my blood pressure has consistently been good the last 2 check ups. :) I was a tad intimated to go at first as I am 53 and was in poor shape and didn't want to embarrass myself but after my first few classes that went away fast. The staff recognize everyone's weakness's and help modify the exercises to each of us. I also love the team aspect as there is always so much support from other class members and staff. I also love how they are active in the community and are always putting on events away from the gym to change things up. My only regret is I wish I would have joined months ago when I saw the ads for the challenge. I recommend OEV to anyone who wants to make a difference in their lives. Less

The trainers are all knowledgeable in many different areas which provides a multitude of avenues for any questions or coners to be answered. It has become my place to release and let go of any worries or concerns that are bothering me. From the second I walk in the door I am always greeted by name with a smile. The friendships I have built here have become some of my fondest. The class times starting from 6 am and ending at 830pm Monday to Friday and Weekends from 8am till 1pm make it possible for any schedule to have time to go to a class. The workouts can be tailored to any fitness level, I always leave after a workout feel accomplished. The trainers here are world class, when you have a personal training session you ha e their undivided attention the whole time, they will provide an amazing workout with a ton of encouragement in a safe and fun manner. I just finished OEV 6 week challenge and I must say choosing to take part in the challenge was the best decision I could have made! When I first joined, I was looking for a gym where I could do the type of weightlifting I enjoyed, but in an environment where I could be motivated and never be bored. Phenomenal atmosphere and attitudes every day! The coaches know what they are doing and are constantly making sure you are doing everything properly. OEV has been the BEST gym so far in my opinion. It has friendly coaches, fun filled classes and so many outdoor activities for its members. You’l never feel you’re working out as it is so much fun. Can not believe how friendly everybody is here! Not just the trainers (who are friendly and supportive) but the people in the gym are friendly, supportive, and give no judgement. I feel like I am hanging out with friends every time I go!

I am currently doing the 6 week challenge. Within 3 weeks I went from a size 22 jean down to size 18. By following the eating plan and going to the classes I am getting leaner and stronger. The staff are amazing!!! They work with you to keep you challenged and modify where needed to keep you safe. I have never joined a gym before and they made it so welcoming that I am glad I joined OEV!

I have been a member at multiple gyms and I have never received the support and encouragement that I have at OEV. I have lost a significant amount of weight during the 6 week challenge but gained so much more. I am stronger and more confident than ever before and I owe it all to OEV. The classes overall kick my butt and the trainers are very knowledgeable. It’s truly a great atmosphere. I can’t comment too much on the 6 week challenge as that just wasn’t my focus but I know of a lot of other members who worked very hard and saw success. My goal is to make changes over time so that they will stay and so far so good! Can’t wait to keep at it.

OEV Fitness has a welcoming environment, caring and knowledgeable coaches, supportive staff and kind members. The workouts are challenging but they can be modified. Their class schedule and offerings have expanded since I joined almost 2 months ago. Although you are doing group classes, instructors are very attentive and available for questions. They are always having events and looking for ways to keep members engaged. It really feels like a community! I wish they didn't focus so much on numbers (body weight, BMI..etc) when you are doing the 6 week challenge but my impression is that most people who are sign up for the 6 week challenge are looking for this. People keep noticing that I've trimmed down recently. That's because I completed the 6 Week Transformation Challenge with Old East Village Fitness. Over the 6 weeks I lost 23 lbs and lost over 10% body fat. People keep noticing that I've trimmed down recently. That's because I completed the 6 Week Transformation Challenge with Old East Village Fitness. Over the 6 weeks I lost 23 lbs and lost over 10% body fat. Everyone at OEV is very encouraging & enthusiastic. The work outs were hard for me but the trainers were always able to motivate me through it as well as give tips on how to improve my technique. I did the 6 week challenge & was rather happy with my results. 5/5 would recommend.

Wanted to jump in here and share my review and experience on the 6-week challenge. I was on the mass gain challenge, I had to gain 10% of my body weight in the six-weeks. I came in at 149.7 and ended at 166.4, mission accomplished! First off, let’s start off with the positives. This program works, period. I have been trying to gain weight since I was 15 years old and it has always been near impossible. I’ve done many of the at home programs like p90x and done CrossFit for many years. Although I was getting quite fit I was never seeing the physical change that I wanted. I knew that my downfall was always in my nutrition. It’s not that I was eating poorly but I just didn’t have enough understanding of how to eat effectively. The meal plans that OEV provides are the real deal and truly creates change. I honestly have never been able to change my physique this drastically in my entire life. Secondly, the staff are really great. The coaches are incredibly friendly and really take the time to make sure they know your name and make sure you feel like you apart of a community. I primarily worked with Sam, and I personally found her to be truly invested in helping me achieve my goal and was always checking in to see how things were going. Thirdly, and I feel like this goes without saying, but there are so many shady things out there on the internet these day that I think it’s important to note. THIS IS NOT A SCAM. I had many people in my life VERY skeptical when I told them I had joined the 6-week challenge. They thought that the gym would just set an unreasonable goal and then take the money and run. I assure you, the diet plan works, but it’s your job to follow it, you can’t follow it 50% of the time and then blame someone else for not succeeding. They provide all of the tools you need and if follow them you will see the results! And that’s coming from someone who thought it was physically impossible to gain weight. It’s also important to note that nothing is perfect, there are always areas where things can be improved upon, and because of that there are some components of the challenge that can worked on. The main one for me is that the Mass Gain component for the challenge really feels like an afterthought. The target for this challenge as with most things in the fitness world seems to be on weight loss. Which makes total sense, as that’s what most people are trying to do. However, because of that there are no specific workouts designed for people who are on the bulk program. Therefore, after the trainers had explained the days workout they would have to come up with something on the spot for me to do. I want to stress that it’s not that the workouts they were bad, far from it, however there didn’t seem to be any structure in regard to an overall program it was very “day to day.” Whereas with the weight loss program there seemed to have a much more calculated workout schedule. I’ve heard they are developing a more refined weight gain program and will have posted work outs every day at some point in the future, however that wasn’t the case while I was there. As result, the coaches would often forget I was on the bulk plan and so by the time they had figured out something for me to do and gotten everything set up there often only 10 minutes or so left from the 15 minutes allotted for the met con. Again, I still hit my goal and the workouts still killed me so that cannot be discounted. However, I think it’s fair to say that the bulk plan is not a priority, (and honestly it probably shouldn’t be) but I think when people join these types of challenges they want to feel like all of the pieces are in place for them to succeed and having a more refined and scheduled bulk plan would have put me more at ease, especially early on in the challenge. Ultimately, I truly enjoyed my time with OEV Fitness and I would recommend this challenge to anyone looking to kick start their body. I promise you it works! Less

Can't say enough good things about this place. The coaches were all fantastic! The classes were challenging, fun, and most importantly, very effective. I particularily liked Sam and Niall's classes in the mornings. They both really know their stuff and are not afraid to push you to your limit. I left a giant puddle of sweat on the floor every single day I was there. There is just no way i could've consistently pushed myself that hard on my own. I started at a body fat % of 16 and in only 6 weeks i went down to 7.3%, while replacing almost all that weight with muscle mass. I also achieved other health and fitness goals durring my time here. When I started, I couldn't stand running. I could barely run 400m without collapsing from exhaustion. By week 5, they had me running 5km like it was nothing, and honestly, I felt like I could have gone further. I think the reason why they are so effective is that they not only help you in the gym, but they also give you a tailored meal plan to help you reach your goals faster. Anyways, if you are serious about taking control of your own health and fitness quickly, then this is definitely the place you want to go. At least try their "free" 6-week challenge. I say "free" because you have to pay for a 3-month membership first, then at the end of the 6-weeks you have the option to either keep the membership or get your money back. The price is quite a bit more than any other gym membership, but if you can afford it, then it is absolutely worth it. I opted to get my money back simply because I'm a broke student and I cant rack up more student debt. But you'll be sure to see me there once I graduate! Less

I've never weight trained before and was worried about hurting myself, but got clear directions and encouragement to ensure that I made it out in one piece. I've never felt healthier, I'm getting tons of compliments on my progress and lost over 5% body fat while on this challenge. It was not at all what I expected. The staff were knowledgeable in all areas, from the meal plan (which had me eating truly clean for the first time in a long time), to the workouts, as well as supporting the members that were facing frustrations. The gym is a fantastic facility, and the environment and “vibe” is welcoming and fun, making you look forward to going to the gym! I was able to exceed my goals for the challenge, as well as reduce my blood pressure by 30 points and lowering my resting heart rate by 11 beats a minute! Have had a great experience with OEV Fitness. I came into the challenge after being away from the gym for many years and the trainers were more than happy to provide a variety of modifications for all abilities and fitness levels. The workouts were challenging but achievable and the support between clients and trainers is awesome.

OEV has a great community atmosphere and everyone supports and encourages one another. The trainers, particularly Sam and Niall in my classes, always take the time to make sure everyone is doing what they should be for the best results. Overall it’s an amazing space to start or continue your fitness journey.

This is one of the most supportive gyms I've been to in the city. The coaches are on-point, the workouts are challenging (but scaleable) the facilities are clean, well-maintained, and always being added to! I started the Old East Village Fitness 6 week challenge at the end of July 2018 before my wedding at the beginning of September. I had previously struggled with staying motivated at the gym, and while my diet was not terrible, it definitely wasn’t always healthy options. The meal plan provided in the challenge was easy to work with, and provided enough variety to keep things interesting. It is a tough program to follow for 6 weeks (specifically the meals), but perseverance pays off. I lost 20.5lbs and 7.2% of my body fat in 6 weeks. The gym classes were fantastic and provided lots of variety to keep your body ‘guessing’. Who knew 3 ~ 50 minute classes a week could provide such fantastic results. The classes did get quite busy at peak times causing double ups on equipment, but that is to be expected. The trainers and owners are fantastic and really help people stay motivated. This is an amazing gym to help you get fit. The trainer's do a wonderful job of helping you learn all of the different exercises and there is no sense of judgement from anyone if you are still learning. Would defintely recommend for people of all fitness levels.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because they have limited space, which only allows for a single shower. I work in London, but live out of town, so I have to shower.
