I've taken a family member here to the food bank. They give a lot of food (filled up the entire back seat) and are very friendly.

Great place with helpful people. I just wish you could talk to people in person or get people on the line, not just a voicemail message.

The outreach center is quite Off-putting as you don't see anyone. They provide applications that you fill out and place in their mailbox. The food bank was empty also, it took 5 minutes before anyone appeared. Their food donation is huge; so make sure you can handle getting it home! They were kind and helpful when asked questions.

Great place to go for assistance with eviction, electric turn off, and many other types of help!! Excellent place to go for food help! They give everything from Meats to snacks.

The best place to go if you need help with your electricity bill or if you are in need of a food bank. Just expect long long long wait times and possibly very rude customer service.

Resourceful

Great resource for families and individuals needing food, energy assistance and housing help. Just don't have a reason to interact with the executive director. I found her to be dismissive and condescending. The staff she inherited is Great and each member is committed to the demographic they serve, however.

I always read articles and blogs about how selfish kids are nowadays, and since that's true, I urge anyone reading this (especially if you're a parent), to get your kids out in society volunteering! It's so important for them to give back to the community. Not only does it make them more aware of social issues, but it also helps them to develop emotional intelligence. Although I'll be starting graduate school I would love to come back and help out again. I really felt like I was making a difference by lending a hand with low income families being able to obtain food. What you guys do for the county and the state of Maryland is wonderful, keep up the great work!!! :) Less
