Official Rules and Policies
1. DUPR Level at Registration
All players’ DUPR ratings will be locked in at the time of registration. Any changes to a player’s rating after registration—whether the DUPR increases or decreases—will not affect division placement.
2. Full DUPR Rating Enforcement
Eligibility will be determined by a player’s full DUPR rating. For example, a rating of 4.001 is considered above 4.000 and therefore not eligible for a 4.0 and under division. No exceptions will be made for ratings that slightly exceed the division cutoff.
3. Unrated Players
Players who do not have an official DUPR rating at the time of registration will be automatically assigned a rating of 3.125 for registration and seeding purposes.
4. Multiple DUPR's
If a player has multiple dupr's, the highest dupr will be used when determining elifibility.
5. Partner Registration Requirement
Once a player registers, their designated partner must complete their own registration within 48 hours. If the partner does not register within this timeframe, the team’s spot may be forfeited and offered to another team on the waitlist.
6. Refund Policy
All registration fees are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for cancellations, withdrawals, or no-shows for any reason.
7. Conduct and Sportsmanship
All participants are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, integrity, and respect toward event organizers, officials, opponents, and spectators. Unsportsmanlike behavior, including verbal abuse, misconduct, or intentional rule violations, may result in immediate removal from the event and possible disqualification from future Summit High Stakes events.
8. Weather or Event Interruption Policy
In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, the event director reserves the right to adjust the match schedule, modify game formats, shorten matches, or cancel the event entirely. No refunds will be issued due to weather-related interruptions.
9. Substitutions
Substitute players must be approved in advance by event organizers. All substitutes must meet the DUPR requirements for the division. The use of an unapproved or ineligible substitute will result in immediate disqualification of the team.
10. Late Arrival Penalty – If you arrive more than 5 minutes late to your scheduled start time, you will forfeit your first match. Please plan accordingly so we can keep the event running on time.
11. Payout Structure – Prize money will be awarded as follows:
1st Place: $160 per team ($80 per player)
2nd Place: $100 per team ($50 per player)
3rd Place: $60 per team ($30 per player)
Special Bonus: If both players of your team are Summit members, you will each receive your cash prize PLUS the same amount in Summit gift cards.
