Ready By Five (RB5) Staff Application

Please note there will be a mandatory staff and faculty/parapro meeting on Saturday, 02/08/25. The meeting will be held at Ferguson Elementary 1755 Centerview Way NW, Duluth, GA 30096 from 8 am to approximately 9 am. You will be paid for your time.

Session 1 of the program will run for 4 consecutive Saturdays beginning February 22, 2025 and ending March 15, 2025.

02/22/25, 03/01/25, 03/08/25, 03/15/25

There will then be approximately a 1 month break.

Session 2 of the program will run for 4 consecitive Saturdays beginning April 19, 2025 and ending May 10, 2025.

04/19/2025, 04/26/2025, 05/03/2025, 05/10/2025

Your hours during the program will be approximately between 7 am and 7:30 am to 11:30 am to 12 pm. This can vary, but not often.

Please make note of these dates and times. Any commitment you make must be with this information in mind.

There is a possibility that you may be asked to assist a teacher and paraprofessional in the classroom during the program.

I may ask for help in preparing for the RB5 program. We have boxes of supplies that must be organized and sorted, and - eventually - loaded for transport. Should you be interested, you would be paid for your time.

We strongly encourage you to monitor the email address you provide us as that will be our primary means of communication with you.

If you are a GCPS employee that we hire, we will likely be paying you through GCPS.

If you are non-GCPS employee that we hire:

  1. We will be paying you directly, via direct deposit.

  2. When you reach the employee handbook you will need to down load the W-4 form and the Form I-9. Please complete both forms and return them to me within two weeks of accepting our offer.

  3. Your Form I-9 must be accompanied by the appropriate documents described on the I-9 as acceptable forms of proof of residency.

  4. If I do not receive the required documents and proof of residency within 2 weeks of your accepting our offer (and no less than 1 week prior to your first day of work), I will be unable to employ you.

  5. You will need to provide me with your banking information in that same two weeks if you wish to be paid timely. I will need your bank name, bank routing number, and account number.

  6. You will receive an invitation to set up an account with Intuit Workforce. It is not a requirement, however, from this site you can find your bi-weekly paystubs and your annual W2.

Please note: It is your responsibility to keep your personal information updated. If something changes, you may email me directly. If your banking information changes and you fail to notify us, we will not be responsible for retrieving any erroneously directed pay.

Although we prefer consistency for our families, we also want to provide flexibility for our staff.

You may choose to work all eight weeks.

You may choose to work the first four weeks.

You may choose to work the last four weeks.

We will do our best to accommodate these preferences, but cannot promise at this time.

We will notify you ASAP whether you have been hired. The number of teachers we will need will be dictated by the number of children and families enrolled. We expect to make hiring decisions and extend offers to staff in the week of December 8, 2024.
