How did you hear about Breadbox Farm?

We expect our volunteers to:

commit to showing up consistently once a week for at least the next 6 months (it takes time and energy to train!)

request off a week in advance if they know they will be gone

communicate with their team in the morning if they are unwell and cannot make it to their shift

be respectful, tidy, and keep our space feeling safe for all, remember this is also a family's home

I understand my volunteer responsibilities may include:

Getting dirty and wet with lots of "yucky" things. Poop is considered a valuable resource around here.

In working with animals, there will be hard and sad moments. There will be joyful, life filled moments. The full range of emotions are lived through this work.

Teamwork with others who are of different ages, opinions, and communication styles than myself. We embrace compassion and diversity as strengths.

Much of our work is physical, but there is work here for all bodies and abilities seeking to help in our mission.
