By registering for this retreat, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
Parting the Veil is a spiritual retreat designed for personal growth, contemplative practice, embodiment work, and community gathering. Activities may include meditation, breathwork, movement practices, hiking, ceremonial experiences, and group discussions.
This retreat is not therapy, medical treatment, psychological counseling, or clinical care.
I understand that participation in retreat activities may involve physical, emotional, or spiritual intensity, including but not limited to:
Breathwork and guided meditation
Light physical activity (hiking, swimming, movement)
Outdoor environmental exposure
Emotional processing or introspection
I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages known or unknown that may arise from participation.
I affirm that I am physically and mentally able to participate in retreat activities.
I understand that I am responsible for:
Disclosing relevant medical conditions
Bringing necessary medications
Monitoring my own physical and emotional well-being
If I have cardiovascular conditions, seizure disorders, severe trauma history, pregnancy, respiratory conditions, or other relevant concerns, I understand it is my responsibility to consult a licensed medical provider before attending.
I hereby release and hold harmless Hidden Wisdom, Meghan Farner, event facilitators, venue staff, and associated parties from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from my participation in this retreat.
This includes travel to and from the retreat location.
All payments are non-refundable unless the retreat is canceled by the host.
If I am unable to attend:
I may transfer my registration to another approved participant with written notice.
No refunds will be issued for personal schedule changes, illness, or travel disruption.
If the retreat is canceled by the host for unforeseen circumstances, I will receive a full refund of payments made (excluding travel expenses).
The retreat may include photography or video for future promotional use.
By attending, I grant permission for images in which I may appear to be used by Hidden Wisdom for marketing or educational purposes.
If I prefer not to appear in media, I will notify the host in writing prior to the retreat.
I agree to:
Maintain confidentiality regarding personal stories shared by other participants.
Engage respectfully and compassionately.
Refrain from gossip or harmful speech.
Honor differing beliefs and spiritual experiences.
This retreat is a sacred container.
This is a substance-free event.
Illegal drugs and excessive alcohol are not permitted.
To maintain a safe and grounded retreat environment, I agree to the following:
I understand that my participation is voluntary.
I am responsible for:
Listening to my body
Taking breaks when needed
Modifying physical activity
Communicating concerns to facilitators
I understand that breathwork and contemplative practices can:
Activate emotional release
Increase physical sensation
Surface stored memories
I agree to participate at my own pace and inform facilitators if I need support.
The retreat takes place in Southern Utah high desert and alpine environments. I acknowledge potential exposure to:
Uneven terrain
Sun exposure
Elevation changes
Wildlife
I will bring appropriate clothing, hydration, and footwear.
This retreat is not intended for individuals currently experiencing:
Acute psychiatric crisis
Active psychosis
Severe untreated trauma
Suicidal ideation
If I am under active psychiatric care, I confirm I have clearance from my provider to attend.
Some activities (such as group prayer or blessing circles) may involve consensual, light physical touch (e.g., hand on shoulder).
I understand I may decline physical contact at any time.
I commit to:
Showing up with humility and integrity
Respecting boundaries (my own and others’)
Refraining from proselytizing or debate
Preserving the sacredness of the container
