Members-Only Online Sponsorship and Registration Form

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Rio Grande Valley Builders Association's Annual Fishing Tournament, taking place Friday and Saturday, June 5th and 6th at South Padre Island. Please carefully read and respond to all fields on this form to submit your registration for the Annual Fishing Tournament. Note that you must be a member to sponsor RGVBA events; please visit our membership sign-up page if you are interested in becoming a member of the RGVBA to take advantage of available sponsorships. Sponsorships and base entry fees do not include boat charter or captain fee. Please confirm your membership before purchasing sponsorships as we cannot guarantee refunds for purchases made on this page.

Division

Each team can be comprised of up to 4 participants and each person must be registered. All participants must have a legal fishing license as required by Texas Parks and Wildlife.

  • MEMBERS-ONLY DIVISION: To qualify for this division, at least one of the registered participants must be a current employee of a company that is a member of the RGVBA. Eligibility will be verified by the fishing committee prior to the captains meeting. There are no pro anglers allowed in this division.

  • OPEN DIVISION: This division is open to the general public, and you do not need to be a member of the RGVBA to enter. Pro anglers are allowed in this division. Should a member of the RGVBA choose to hire a pro angler to fish in the tournament, they will be placed in the open division.

**Pro anglers are not allowed in the Members-Only Division**! If you are a member of the RGVBA and registering with a pro angler on your team, your team must compete in the Open Division. A pro angler is defined as any previously or currently licensed fishing guide, any commercial fishermen, or any individual who is sponsored by or considered "pro staff" for a boating or fishing company. A pro angler will count as one member of your 4-person team.
A Redfish Sponsorship will give you two teams, a Trout or Flounder sponsorship will give you one team, and you will have the option to add additional teams in addition to your sponsorship teams.

The company that the team will be representing. If you are registering as individuals, you may respond "N/A". You may also include a residential address when prompted for a Company address. A valid address is necessary for invoicing.

Sponsorship Level
You must be a member to select a sponsorship package, but your fishing team can be comprised of anyone. If you are selecting a package with multiple teams, you will be able to add those teams' information to this form. You must submit any team updates by Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026.
