Rattle Making Workshop — Participant Waiver & Agreement
Workshop Date: August 7 & 8, 2026
1. PROPERTY RULES & CONDUCT
By registering for this workshop I agree to the following Brother Fish Ranch property rules:
This is a smoke-free, alcohol-free, and substance-free property. No smoking, vaping, alcohol, cannabis, or any other substances are permitted on the premises at any time.
Participants will treat the property, materials, animals, and all other participants with respect.
Any participant found violating these rules will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.
2. WORKING RANCH & PROPERTY AWARENESS
Brother Fish Ranch is an active working ranch. By attending you acknowledge and accept the following:
Large animals including horses may be present on or near the property
Terrain is natural and uneven — appropriate footwear is strongly recommended
Wildlife may be present on the property
Participants are expected to be aware of their surroundings at all times
Children under 14 and pets are not permitted and must be accompanied by an Adult registered in the Workshop
Brother Fish Ranch and its owners accept no liability for injury caused by interaction with animals, uneven terrain, or natural hazards on the property
3. WORKSHOP UNDERSTANDING
I understand that:
The Rattle Making Workshop is a hands-on, guided experience led by Butch MacPherson and/or Debby Rowland of Brother Fish Ranch
Rattle Making Course uses a kit-based approach.
All materials are included in my registration fee
The workshop runs over two consecutive days
Maximum participants is 13 per workshop
I am responsible for arriving on time both days
4. PERSONAL ITEMS
I may bring my own crystals or meaningful stones to place inside my rattle
Brother Fish Ranch is not responsible for any personal items brought to the property
Participants are encouraged to bring appropriate clothing for outdoor conditions and uneven terrain
5. HEALTH & SAFETY
I confirm that:
I am physically able to participate in a hands-on craft workshop
I will inform the workshop leader of any allergies or medical conditions relevant to working with natural materials including hide, sinew, fur, gravel, and crystals
I understand that tools including needles, hole punches, and cutting implements are used in this workshop and I will follow all safety instructions
6. PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment:
Full payment is required at time of registration via credit card through our secure payment system
Your spot is not confirmed until payment is received
Please note that Stripe processing fees are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation
Minimum Enrolment:
A minimum of 6 participants is required for the workshop to proceed
If minimum enrolment is not reached by 7 days prior to the workshop date, Brother Fish Ranch reserves the right to cancel the workshop
In the event of a Brother Fish Ranch cancellation, participants will receive a full refund within 5–7 business days
Participant Cancellations:
Cancellations made 14 or more days before the workshop: full refund minus Stripe processing fee
Cancellations made 7–13 days before the workshop: 50% refund
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the workshop: no refund
No-shows on the day of the workshop: no refund
Participants may transfer their spot to another person at no charge with 48 hours notice
Weather & Rescheduling:
In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances Brother Fish Ranch may reschedule the workshop
Participants will be offered the choice of the new date or a full refund
7. LIABILITY WAIVER
I understand and agree that:
Participation in this workshop is entirely voluntary
Brother Fish Ranch, Butch MacPherson, Debby Rowland, and any associated staff are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the workshop or while on the property
I acknowledge that Brother Fish Ranch is a working ranch with inherent risks including but not limited to large animals, uneven terrain, and outdoor conditions
I waive any and all claims against Brother Fish Ranch, its owners, staff, and facilitators for any injury or loss sustained during my participation.
AGREEMENT
Participants must be a minimum of 14 years of age to attend. Participants aged 14–17 must be accompanied by a registered adult parent or guardian who is also a paying participant in the workshop.
