SCCA Event Sanction Form

SCCA - Southern Crawfish Cookoff Association

The SCCA is a collaborative effort between Stalekracker and The Crawfish Critic that is dedicated to unifying crawfish cookoffs under standardized regulations and guidelines, fostering fairness and competitiveness across the landscape. Our mission is clear: to establish consistent judging standards, celebrate achievements, and meticulously track success.

At the heart of our endeavors lies the prestigious SCCA Super Boil Championships, an exclusive invite-only competition that brings together the best cook teams from sanctioned events worldwide, determining the ultimate champion of crawfish cookoffs.

Benefits for Cook Teams:

Participating in SCCA-sanctioned events isn't just about showcasing boiling skills; it's about joining a larger movement towards excellence and securing a coveted spot in the SCCA Super Boil Championship.

Benefits for Event Organizers:

Event organizers sanctioned by the SCCA gain access to a plethora of advantages. Leveraging Stalekracker's influence, we promote sanctioned events to crawfish enthusiasts globally, ensuring maximum visibility and participation. SCCA assistance extends to event promotion, cook team & vendor recruitment, as well as sponsor acquisitions, all aimed at enhancing event success and financial viability.

Support and Resources:

The SCCA provides comprehensive support, rules, and guidelines to ensure seamless and fair competition execution. The SCCA will aim to forge partnerships with preferred vendors across the southern region, securing discounted rates on essential event supplies and fostering sponsorships. Additionally, we offer event marketing, consulting services, ticketing solutions, and more to empower event coordinators in orchestrating successful crawfish cookoff events.

Sanctioning Process:

For events seeking SCCA sanctioning, simply fill out our provided form to furnish necessary information for event promotion and assistance. Following submission you will receive an email consisting of the SCCA organizers packet, and the SCCA logo for display on event materials.

Event Coordination:

Prior to events, organizers must furnish a complete list of participating cookoff teams and their head cooks' contact information for communication and website updates. Following events, submission of competition results enables us to update the website and award SCCA season points to deserving teams.

No Cost Sanctioning:

This inaugural season, SCCA will not charge for event sanctioning. Furthermore we will not provide on-site representatives to oversee the competitions. Our focus is on laying a solid foundation for future seasons of success and growth.

Join Us:

Join the SCCA in elevating the crawfish cookoff experience to new heights of excellence. Together, let's celebrate the art of boiling, foster camaraderie among cookoff enthusiasts, and crown the champions of crawfish cuisine.

We will not require all rules to be followed this season given the short notice but you are more than welcome to implement any of these rules and guidelines this year as you see fit.

Thank you for your consideration in joining the SCCA!
