Second Annual St. George Smuttastic Book Fair Application

We are so excited to officially open vendor and author applications for our Second Annual St. George Smuttastic Book Fair!

After an incredible first year with 1,000+ tickets sold, we’re bringing the Smuttastic Book Fair back to St. George for an even bigger weekend filled with books, shopping, authors, bookish businesses, and our amazing reader community.

The 2027 event will take place over two full days at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George, Utah.

Event Details

Event Dates: Saturday, September 11 & Sunday, September 12, 2027
Approximate Event Hours: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM both days
Vendor Setup: Friday, September 10, approximately 3:00–8:00 PM
Location: Dixie Convention Center — St. George, Utah (Indoor)
Booth Size: 10' wide × 6' deep
Booth Includes: One 6-foot table with tablecloth, two chairs, and pipe & drape
Vendors are responsible for bringing their own products, signage, displays, décor, and any additional booth materials needed
Booth Price: $325
Vendors must participate for both Saturday and Sunday
No early takedowns are permitted
Booth fees are nonrefundable

Please note that event hours and setup times are currently approximate and may be adjusted slightly as we get closer to the event.

Application & Acceptance Timeline

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with our first round of early acceptances beginning in October 2026.

Because we curate our vendor lineup and limit the number of businesses within similar categories, we recommend applying early.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance
Accepted vendors will receive an acceptance email with instructions for securing their booth
If you are not selected during an early acceptance round, your application may remain under consideration for future rounds
Applicants who are not initially selected may also be placed on our vendor waitlist
Due to the volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to individually notify every applicant who is not selected

The Smuttastic Book Fair is centered around books, reading, romance, fantasy, creativity, and products our reader community will love.

We welcome applications from businesses and creators including:

Romance, romantasy, fantasy & other authors
Independent authors & publishers
Bookish merchandise & accessories
Kindle/e-reader accessories
Bookmarks, stickers & stationery
Art & illustrations
Jewelry & accessories
Apparel
Candles & home goods
Self-care, beauty & lifestyle products
Gifts & novelty products
Reader-inspired products
Other unique small businesses that complement the overall book fair experience

You do not have to exclusively sell bookish products to apply. However, preference may be given to businesses whose products, branding, or booth experience are a strong fit for our audience and the overall event.

We carefully curate our vendor mix and may limit the number of vendors accepted within the same product category.

Food & Beverage Vendors

We will be accepting a very limited number of food and beverage vendors for the 2027 St. George Smuttastic Book Fair.

Please note that the Dixie Convention Center charges additional fees for outside food and beverage vendors. Because of this, accepted food and beverage vendors will be subject to an additional venue fee on top of the standard vendor booth fee.

Additional requirements and pricing will be provided to food and beverage vendors prior to confirming participation.

Attendance

Our inaugural St. George Smuttastic Book Fair has already sold 1,000+ tickets, and we anticipate the 2027 event being even larger.

Attendance numbers are estimates only and are not a guarantee of sales, foot traffic, or vendor revenue.

By applying, you understand that participation is subject to acceptance and that additional vendor policies, payment deadlines, setup instructions, and event requirements will be provided to accepted vendors.

Please confirm the following before submitting your application: I understand that this is a two-day event and, if accepted, I am committing to participate on both Saturday and Sunday. I understand that vendor setup will take place on Friday. I understand that tables, chairs, linens, and booth furnishings are not included unless separately rented. I understand that indoor tents and canopies are not permitted and that vendors will be required to provide an appropriate freestanding backdrop or booth divider. I understand that no early takedowns are permitted. I understand that booth fees are nonrefundable. I understand that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.

Acknowlegement for Food and Beverage Vendors *

Outdoor food and beverage vendors are welcome to apply through this application. Please note that outdoor food and beverage vendors must be contracted directly through the Utah State Fairpark. The Fairpark may collect a percentage of sales and/or require additional fees. If your application is accepted, our team will connect you directly with the Fairpark to complete their required contracting process.

Photo Acknowledgement

By uploading photos of your products or booth setup, you confirm you own or have rights to the images and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them in promoting the event across social media, email, our website, and print materials. We'll credit your business wherever possible. You can request removal at any time by contacting us.
