This approval sheet is a tool used to recap your design consultation with A Modern Window. As this is a custom product chosen specifically for you, once this order enters our system, no changes can be made. This review and checklist help us ensure your order is properly placed and delivered to your specifications. It also helps us review key considerations for your custom window treatments.

Window Treatment Acknowledgements

Inside Mounts: Customer acknowledges all INSIDE mounted shades will have a factory deduction taken on the width to ensure the shade operates effectively without damage (standard deductions vary, but typically range between 1/8" to 1/2" from the narrowest measurement of the window width, depending on brand, shade type, and window construction). Customer recognizes Room Darkening or "Blackout" shades will have a notable light gap along the edges of inside mount shades when closed.

Outside Mounts: Customer acknowledges OUTSIDES mount shades will overlap the window edge; amount of overlap varies depending on product type, window construction and customer preference. (Standard Over Lap is 1" if allowed). Window overlap amounts have been reviewed and agreed, Customer recognizes Room Darkening or "Blackout" shades will also have some amount of light gap along the edges of outside mount shades.

Heaviness: Customer acknowledges some products are available at extensive widths and heights. Be aware that such treatments may be very heavy and difficult to raise and lower. For some products, such as faux wood blinds, it only may be practical to tilt but not raise the blind.

Colour Variation: Customer acknowledges that similar treatments should be ordered at the same time to ensure dye lot consistency. Dye lot variances may also occur between samples and the finished product.

Hardware: Customer acknowledges that the hardware (Brackets, head rails, cassettes, Cords/Shrouds, etc.) which comes with your blind or shades comes in colours that are pre-determined by the manufacturer and cannot be customized. Upon request, Budget Blinds can confirm these colours for you but are not responsible for hardware colours.

I acknowledge that due to the custom nature of my purchase, all sales are final. I understand the warranties that apply to all my window coverings. I acknowledge that the completion date is an estimate only, subject to manufacturers’ availability of materials and shipping. I agree to pay the full balance owing at the time of installation. Final balances due by credit card will be processed on the morning of the installation date.
