MLK Dream Run Vendor Form

Vendor Registration 2025

Join Us for the 14th Annual MLK Dream Run Weekend Celebration in the Soul District
Presented by Alaska Airlines, Nike, & CareOregon

This two-day event features:

  • The SoulFul Vendor Village

  • Live Music & Entertainment

  • A Free Kids Race

  • Professionally Timed 5K, 10K, and 15K Races

This year’s theme: Dreams in Motion

Vending Activation Times:

Saturday, September 20th – Kickoff Celebration
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(Setup: Friday, September 19th, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM or Saturday, 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM)

Sunday, September 21st – Race Day
7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
(Setup: Saturday, September 20th, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM or Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:45 AM)

Vendor Requirements:
Vendors are responsible for providing all equipment and supplies necessary to set up and operate their booths. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Tents

  • Tables

  • Chairs

  • Tablecloths

  • Product Inventory

  • Any additional display items

Saturday Vendor Setup Instructions (2025)

All vendors must check in with the Vendor Coordinator at the vendor check-in booth prior to unloading.

Vendor setup for those vending on Saturday only or both days will take place on Friday, September 19th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, or Saturday, September 20th from 7:00 AM to 9:45 AM. All vehicles must be unloaded and removed from the event site by 9:30 AM, as the event will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.

Vendors are expected to keep their booths open until 6:00 PM on Saturday and are not permitted to begin breakdown early. No vehicles will be allowed on the marketplace grounds between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM, unless they are part of a fixed booth or display (e.g., food trucks). Breakdown may begin no earlier than 6:00 PM and must be completed by 7:30 PM.

After unloading, vendor vehicles may be parked in the north campus parking lot located on N Jessup Street between N Albina St and N Kirby St:

For 2-day vendors, please remove any valuables from your tent and, if possible, lower your tent at the end of Saturday’s festivities by 6:30 PM. Overnight security will be provided during the following hours:

  • Friday, September 19th, 6:00 PM – Saturday, September 20th, 7:00 AM

  • Saturday, September 20th, 6:00 PM – Sunday, September 21st, 7:00 AM

Sunday Vendor Setup Instructions (2025)

All vendors must check in with the Vendor Coordinator at the vendor check-in booth prior to unloading.

If you are vending only on Sunday, September 21st (RACE DAY), you may set up your booth on:

  • Saturday evening, September 20th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, or

  • Sunday morning, September 21st, from 6:00 AM to 6:45 AM.

Your booth must be fully set up and ready by 7:00 AM sharp. No vehicles will be allowed in the vending area after 6:45 AM.

Breakdown may begin no earlier than 12:00 PM and must be completed by 1:30 PM.

Cancellation Policy (2025)

If for any reason you need to cancel your registration, please email [email protected] or call 503-841-5032.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the vendor deadline of Friday, September 5, 2025.

Vendor registration is on a first-come, first-served basis until all spots are filled.

Vendor Equipment & Power Notice

Please note that booths, tables, chairs, tents, and other supplies are not provided. Vendors are responsible for bringing all necessary equipment to operate their booth.

Additionally, electricity is not provided. If you plan to use a small, quiet generator to power your booth, you must notify the Vendor Coordinator in advance for approval and placement accommodations.

Festival Code of Conduct​

The following” Rules of Conduct” apply to any individual who enters onto any part of the Portland Community College Cascade Campus Property. Any person who violates any of the following rules can be told to leave the property and not return. If the excluded person does return to any part of the permitted area, he or she can be arrested for committing the crime of Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.


Furthermore, the MLK Dream Run Planning Team and its’ representatives have the right to refuse service to any person for any non-discriminatory reason.

• No person shall engage in any conduct that violates any Federal, State, or City law.

• No person shall engage in conduct that disrupts or interferes with the designated operations of the festival or that disturbs festival participants, including but not limited to conduct that involves the uses of abusive or threatening language or gestures, creating unreasonable noise, or conduct of loud or boisterous physical behavior.

• No person shall enter the non-public area or MLK Dream Run Planning Team only area.

• No person shall possess or consume alcoholic beverages or be in possession of items commonly known to be used to conjunction with illegal drugs or be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.

• No person shall engage in behavior that involves asking for or seeking money from Festival participants or its volunteers.

• No person shall engage in conduct that constitutes the selling or offering to sell any goods or services that is not authorized by the MLK Dream Run Planning Team.

• No person shall deposit garbage of any type upon the festival premises except in receptacles intended for that purpose.

• No person shall interfere with ingress or egress of others at the entrance to Festival.

• No person shall possess any firearms, knives or other instruments which could be used to inflict injury upon a person or damage to property.

• No person shall deface, damage, or destroy any merchandise, fixtures or other property of the festival.

• No person shall post any signs, handbills, flyers, posters or other similar objects at the festival unless authorized by MLK Dream Run representatives.

• No person shall use the festival’s permitted area in ways that they were not intended.

• No person shall enter the festival premises without proper clothing to include shoes and shirt.

• No person shall use the festival’s restroom facilities to bath or shave.

• No person shall bring animals of any type, other than service animals, onto the festival premises.

• No person shall distribute written materials or seek signature for a petition while in or upon Festival premises, unless previous authorization has been approved.--
