Woodland Hardwoods Saw Milling Service Waiver and Customer Acknowledgment

Saw Milling Pricing Structure

1. Minimum Charge: $175 (covers the first hour of sawing and includes the first $45 blade).
   

2. Hourly Rate After First Hour: $130 per additional hour (includes stacking, stickers if needed, and end-sealing).
   

3. Blade Usage: One new blade is included in the first hour. Each blade is rated for approximately 3 hours of cutting time. After 3 hours of mill time, an additional $45 blade replacement charge will be applied per blade used.
   

4. Capacity Limits: Logs up to 60 in. diameter × 20 ft. length.
   

5. Optional Services
   

   • Log Pickup / Hauling: Custom quote upon request.
     

   • Kiln-Drying: Quoted separately; typical schedule ≈ 1 inch thickness per week (species-dependent).

   • Tree Felling / Heavy Haul: Referral to trusted third-party tree services available.
     

Customer-Supplied Logs & Materials

• I warrant that I am the lawful owner of the logs/lumber delivered for service.
  

• I acknowledge that hidden defects, metal, internal stresses, knots, or species-specific characteristics can cause blade damage, equipment damage, loss in yield, or material failure.
  

• No Guarantee of Outcome: Woodland Hardwoods makes no warranty of grade, figure, or yield, expressed or implied. Results vary and are entirely at my risk.

Release of Liability, Waiver & Hold-Harmless

For good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I (Customer) voluntarily, knowingly, and irrevocably:

1. Release and discharge Woodland Hardwoods, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and insurers (collectively, “Woodland”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, or expenses—whether to person, vehicle, trailer, equipment, or property—that arise from or relate to:
   
   

   • Loading, unloading, transporting, storing, or handling logs/lumber on or off Woodland premises;
     
     

   • Operation or malfunction of Woodland equipment;
     
     

   • Kiln-drying, sawing, stacking, or storage of my materials;
     
     

   • The condition, grade, value, or usability of finished lumber.
     
     

2. Assume full responsibility for all risks of injury, death, or property damage, whether caused by my own acts or omissions, those of Woodland, or acts of third parties.
   
   

3. Agree to indemnify and defend Woodland against any claim (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) brought by me or any third party arising from my materials, my presence on site, or my breach of this agreement.
   
   

4. Agree that Woodland’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount actually paid by me for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
   
   

6. Completion, Payment & Storage

• Woodland will notify me when the order is ready. Payment in full is due at pickup by cash, credit card, or approved account.
  

• I must retrieve my materials within 14 calendar days after notification; after that, storage fees of $5/day may be charged, and unclaimed material may be sold or disposed of after 60 days.
  

• Unpaid balances are subject to a finance charge of 1.5 % per month (18 % APR) or the maximum allowed by law.

8. Safety and Handling Disclaimer

For your safety and the safety of our staff, please do not enter work areas, loading zones, or approach equipment without permission. If assistance is needed loading or unloading your material, please let us know in advance. Woodland Hardwoods is not responsible for personal injury or damage to vehicles or trailers that occurs on-site due to improper loading, unloading, or handling of materials by the customer. Woodland Hardwoods' staff may, at their discretion, assist with loading/unloading; however, I remain solely responsible for safe securement of logs/lumber to my vehicle or trailer.

Customer Waiver and Signature

I, the undersigned, understand and accept the natural risks associated with saw milling services provided by Woodland Hardwoods. I agree not to hold Woodland Hardwoods, its staff, or owners liable for any damage, loss in yield, or degradation to my lumber/logs caused by or during the saw milling process.
