Event Rules, Liability Waiver & Participant Agreement
By participating in the Night of the Living Deadlift event at Southern Strength Gym, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
Respectful Conduct: All participants must demonstrate respect toward fellow lifters, spectators, staff, and event organizers.
Family Friendly Environment: This is a family friendly event. Profanity, inappropriate language, aggressive behavior, harassment, and disrespectful conduct are strictly prohibited.
Event Rules: All participants must follow proper lifting procedures, gym policies, and instructions provided by event staff.
Safety: Participants are responsible for lifting within their physical abilities and following all safety instructions. Southern Strength Gym reserves the right to stop any lift deemed unsafe.
Removal: Southern Strength Gym reserves the right to remove anyone who violates event rules or engages in unsafe or inappropriate behavior.
Assumption of Risk: I understand that participation in weightlifting and other physical activities involves inherent risks, including muscle strains, sprains, falls, equipment related injuries, serious bodily injury, permanent disability, or death. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.
Release of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, I voluntarily release and agree not to hold Southern Strength Gym, its owners, employees, trainers, volunteers, and event organizers liable for injuries, accidents, damages, or losses arising from my participation in this event, including claims based on ordinary negligence, except where such liability cannot legally be waived.
Medical Responsibility: I acknowledge that I am physically capable of participating and am responsible for determining my own physical limitations. I understand that Southern Strength Gym is not responsible for medical expenses resulting from injuries sustained during the event.
Acknowledgment & Agreement: By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understand, and voluntarily agree to these event rules, assumption of risk, and liability waiver.
