Some Basics:
We will fill our store with local artisans - a mix of paper, gift items, textiles, jewelry, and more.We cannot promise "exclusivity" in any given category. This means we can't promise you'll be the only tee maker or jeweler in the shop - but we will do our best to find a good balance. Contracts will run for approximately six months at a time, depending on start date.
Software/Tech:
We use Shopify as our point of sale in-store. Shopify also offers a vendor portal - for you: A chance to access (from a computer, tablet or phone) your sales, inventory numbers, and more. This means for you: better, consistent access and control. It also means: YOU are in charge of uploading your listings on the Shopify back end. You will submit new products for approval and fill in all necessary information on the back end - like photos, price, SKUs, inventory count, etc.
Shop Discounts:
We will offer customers a shop discount of 10% for the following: Shop Events // Black Friday/Small Biz Saturday // Holiday & Post-Holiday Sales // Neighborhood Merchants and Employees // Customer Birthdays // Customer Retention
The 10% discount will be applied FIRST. Then, commission will be taken from the new total sale. Please note: this discount can increase at the discretion of the shop staff if product does not move for 60 days or more (and staff will let you know if this mark down will happen)! Alternatively, the product can be picked up or switched out as well.
What We Provide
We cannot guarantee sales at Mosaic Makers Co. Sales are dependent upon both the involvement and dedication of the maker - and the needs of the customer. It's important to note: those who put more work into changing out inventory, spotting and responding to shop trends, etc. are more likely to succeed at Mosaic.
Here's what we will provide:
- A community of makers who support one another. Community over competition!
- Shelf + display space at our shop in Bishop Arts
- Online listings at www.mosaicmakers.co
- Marketing for YOUR brand on our social media networks + email newsletter.
- Open hours, at least 6 days a week, pending the occasional holiday or sick day.
- Shop maker events, like happy hours, dinners, and gatherings.
- An online community forum for makers to chat.
- Payment of all credit card fees and sales tax from in-person transactions.
