The Women's Coaching Alliance is on a mission to develop female leaders through coaching youth sports. We're currently recruiting for various opportunities.
Who you are:
Have played a sport
Identify as a female
Aspire to be a leader or role model for younger kids
Then we want you to join us! No Coaching Experience required!
Coaches will have a co-coach they will partner with, two mentors they will be supported by throughout the season, and coaches will be paid.
As a coach, you'll:
Motivate kids to learn new skills while keeping sport fun
Prepare, organize, and adapt plans for practices and games
Teach skills to kids of different skill levels
Communicate with parents, kids, co-coaches, other stakeholders
Coach 1-2 practices per week and games throughout the season. Typically, weekly practices are held on weekdays and games on weekends and are paused for the holidays.
In order to coach, here's what's required:
Experience playing at either the middle school, high school, college or club level
Must be reliable, prompt and dependable
Must be at least 15 years of age
Must attend Leadership Academy training
We expect coaches to attend all the practices and games. Note: if you are playing a high school or club sport during the season in which you want to coach, you may not be eligible due to schedule conflicts.
Must sign agreement and if under age 18, obtain a work permit
