Leading Edge Academy of Dance (LEAD) is excited to partner with International Ballet Stars to offer dancers the opportunity to audition for their upcoming production of Alice in Wonderland in Frederick, Maryland!
Through the We Dance Program, selected dancers will have the opportunity to share the stage with professional ballet artists in this enchanting production.
We welcome dancers from LEAD and the surrounding dance community to audition. Advance registration is required.

Pre-registration is required.
Final role assignments will be determined by the artistic team.

Weekend Rehearsal Expectations Following Casting
Rehearsals begin Saturday, January 9, 2027
Ages 5–12: Saturdays, 4:30pm–6:30pm
Ages 13+: Sundays, 1:00pm–3:00pm
All in-studio rehearsals will be held at Leading Edge Academy of Dance, 1306 W. Patrick Street, Suite 5, Frederick, Maryland 21703.
Weekend rehearsals will be required after casting. Dancers will be called based on their assigned role or roles, and a detailed rehearsal schedule will be provided following casting.
Dancers who are cast in Alice in Wonderland must be available for the performance and required rehearsals associated with the production.

Participation Costs
- Early Bird Audition Fee: $25
- Same-Day Audition Fee: $35
- Company Participation Fee: $50
- Media Fee (professional photos & video): $65
-Production T-shirts: $25 each (optional)
- Host Administrative & Rehearsal Fee: $100
- Participation Fee Due: November 15, 2026
- Total Program Cost: $240–$250 per dancer, depending on when the audition fee is paid
Performance Costumes: Provided
Dancer Responsibility: Required shoes and tights
Female Dancers: Nude leotard required under costumes
Ticket Requirement
Each participating family is required to help promote the production and secure the purchase of 6 performance tickets. Families will receive additional information regarding ticket tracking and purchasing instructions.
Casting Results
Casting results are scheduled to be released by 9:00 PM on Monday, November 9, 2026.
We know dancers and families will be excited to receive their results, and we truly appreciate your patience while casting is finalized. Please refrain from contacting LEAD, International Ballet Stars, or individual teachers/directors regarding casting results before 9:00 PM on November 9. This allows the artistic team the time and focus needed to carefully complete the casting process and communicate results to all families.
