Enrolment Procedure
Step 1: Complete the online application form
Step 2: SSBT or LIONS will issue a Letter of Offer/Student Agreement for you to sign and return.
Step 3: Arrange your payment by bank transfer or credit card (Visa or MasterCard), and send your payment receipt to SSBT or LIONS. We will then send you the confirmation letter. (*If you are an international student applying for a Student Visa, SSBT or LIONS will issue your Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE). Other applicants will be sent a statement/receipt as confirmation of their enrolment.)
Step 5: Pre-arrival and orientation information will be sent to you prior to your course commencement.

Why We Collect Your Personal Information
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we collect your personal information to process and manage your enrolment in a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course.
How We Use Your Personal Information
We use your personal information to deliver VET courses and fulfill our obligations as an RTO.
How We Disclose Your Personal Information
Under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) (NVETR Act), we are required by law to disclose your personal information to the National VET Data Collection, managed by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). The NCVER collects, manages, analyzes, and communicates research and statistics on the Australian VET sector.
We are also authorized by law (under the NVETR Act) to share your personal information with the relevant state or territory training authority.
How the NCVER and Other Bodies Handle Your Personal Information
The NCVER will collect, store, use, and disclose your personal information in compliance with the law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the NVETR Act. Your personal information may be used and disclosed for purposes such as:
- Populating authenticated VET transcripts
- Administering VET
- Facilitating research and statistics related to education, including surveys and data linkage
- Understanding the VET market
The NCVER is authorized to disclose information to the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE), Commonwealth authorities, and state and territory authorities (excluding RTOs) for purposes such as:
- Administering VET, including regulation, monitoring, and evaluation
- Facilitating research and statistics related to education
- Supporting workforce planning, policy development, and consumer information
The NCVER may also disclose personal information to third parties engaged for research purposes. However, it does not intend to disclose your personal information to overseas recipients.

Surveys
You may be invited to participate in a student survey conducted by a government department, NCVER, or an authorised agency, such as an employee, agent, or third-party contractor. Participation is voluntary, and you will have the option to opt out when contacted.
By submitting this Enrolment Form, you agree to the following:
- The information you have provided is true, accurate, and complete.
- You have read and understood SSBT or LIONS' Information Privacy Policy.
- You have received comprehensive details about the fees and charges related to your course, including tuition fees, administration fees, material fees, payment terms, and the applicable Refund Policy.
- You will ensure SSBT or LIONS has your most up-to-date and accurate contact details and promptly notify them of any changes.
- You agree to comply with SSBT or LIONS' Student Code of Conduct, all relevant student policies and procedures, as well as National and State legislation and regulations, including any future amendments

Consent to Use and Disclosure of Personal Information to the Department of Education & Communities and Other Government Agencies
1. I understand and agree that personal information (including information or opinions about me) collected from me, my parent, or guardian—such as my name, Unique Student Identifier, date of birth, contact details, training outcomes, performance, or sensitive personal information (including my ethnicity or health information) (collectively referred to as "Personal Information")—may be disclosed to the Department of Industry, Skills and Regional Development (the Department) by Sydney School of Business and Technology.
2. The Department may disclose my Personal Information to other Australian government agencies, including those located in States and Territories outside New South Wales.
3. The aforementioned government agencies may use my Personal Information for any purpose related to the exercise of their government functions, including but not limited to the evaluation and assessment of my training, determining my eligibility for subsidised training, and any Fee Exemptions or Concessions. My Personal Information may also be disclosed to other third parties if required by law.
4. I consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of my Personal Information in the manner outlined above.
5. I acknowledge and agree that the Department may contact me by telephone, email, or post during or after I have ceased subsidised training with Sydney School of Business and Technology for the purposes of evaluating and assessing my subsidised training.
