Give your child a meaningful introduction to the timeless tradition of Sloka and Mantra chanting.

In this beginner-friendly Level 1 class, children will learn simple and commonly recited daily slokas and mantras dedicated to various deities and occasions. Each chant is taught gradually, helping children develop clear pronunciation, rhythm, confident recitation, expression, and a sense of devotion.

Beyond memorizing the verses, children are encouraged to understand the spirit of chanting and develop a joyful connection with these sacred practices.

Through regular practice, students will:

  • Learn simple daily slokas and mantras

  • Develop clear and accurate Sanskrit pronunciation

  • Build rhythm, memory, listening, and recitation skills

  • Learn to chant with appropriate expression and devotion

  • Develop familiarity with India's spiritual and cultural traditions

  • Build confidence in individual and group chanting

Beginner friendly • No prior experience required • Open to kids of all learning levels

A beautiful first step for children to bring Slokas, Mantras, gratitude, and devotion into their everyday lives.

About the Instructor

Prabha Seshan is a working professional and continuing student. She believes in lifelong learning and brings together her love for learning, yoga, Sanskrit, and the timeless tradition of slokas and mantras. Her journey with Sanskrit and chanting comes out of curiosity and a desire to understand the deeper meaning behind the words.

She believes that learning slokas is not just about memorizing verses, but about developing focus, mindfulness, pronunciation, and an appreciation for our rich cultural heritage. Outside of work and studies, she enjoys practicing yoga, spending time with animals, and volunteering in her community.
