Companies that are less than 5 years old and open to community engagement can apply to present at a 1MC event. All industries welcome. The application takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed, and the community organizers will get back to you with any follow-up questions. You'll work together to schedule a presentation date.
We’re excited that you’re interested in presenting at 1 Million Cups. Presentations are the lifeblood of our program, giving audiences the opportunity to hear from local entrepreneurs — and providing presenters the chance to learn from others in the community!
To apply, your business must be less than five years old or have recently pivoted. Your profile should also be up-to-date and reflect the company you will present. And most importantly, you should be open to feedback — starting with the advice in our Presenter Playbook to help you craft the perfect presentation.
Remember: this isn’t a sales pitch, and the audience isn’t expecting to hear one. This is an opportunity to share your business’ story in an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative environment, and to gain valuable advice from those in your community. It’s our mission to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs with peers and champions. You can help us do that by opening yourself — and your business — up to the 1MC community.
You'll have six minutes to tell your community who you are, what you're doing and why you're doing it. Watch these past presentations to find inspiration. After your presentation, there will be a 20-minute Q&A session that will give you the opportunity to connect with your audience, culminating with the million-dollar question: "What can we as a community do to help you?"
