Get ready for a day of teamwork, problem-solving, and fun as we catch the train into Brisbane City and take on the challenge of an exciting Escape Room experience.
Participants will work together to solve clues, crack codes, uncover hidden secrets, and complete challenges before time runs out. Along the way, they'll build communication skills, confidence, teamwork, and social connections in a supportive and engaging environment.
After conquering the Escape Room, we'll head out for lunch together and enjoy some time exploring the city before returning home by train.
This activity is designed to support independence, community access, social participation, problem-solving, and confidence in navigating public transport and new environments.
Lunch& Activity is included. Participants are welcome to bring additional spending money if they would like to purchase extra food, drinks, or personal items during the outing.

Risk Details
Slips, trips, or falls while walking through train stations, city streets, public spaces, or the Escape Room venue
Becoming separated from the group in busy public transport hubs or city environments
Delays, disruptions, or unexpected changes to public transport services
Emotional distress, anxiety, claustrophobia, or sensory overload within the Escape Room environment
Frustration or conflict arising from problem-solving activities and group dynamics
Allergic reactions to food, drinks, or environmental factors during lunch
Road and pedestrian safety risks when navigating the city
Illness, injury, or medical incidents occurring during the outing
Fatigue due to walking, travel, or extended periods of activity
Potential Repercussions
Minor injuries including cuts, bruises, grazes, or sprains
Participant becoming temporarily separated from the group
Emotional distress, anxiety, sensory overwhelm, or dysregulation
Missed transport connections resulting in delays

Alternative Options
Participants may choose not to actively participate in Escape Room challenges and instead observe or assist the team
Access to quiet spaces or sensory breaks where available
Additional staff support for participants requiring increased assistance
Alternative community-based activities if the Escape Room environment is unsuitable for an individual's needs
Flexible participation in group discussions and problem-solving tasks
Strategies to Reduce Risk
Ensure participant profiles, medical information, emergency contacts, and consent forms are reviewed prior to attendance
Maintain appropriate staff-to-participant ratios based on individual support needs
Conduct a safety briefing before departure covering public transport, road safety, group expectations, and meeting points
Staff to supervise participants at all times during transport, city navigation, and venue attendance
Establish clear check-in procedures and head counts throughout the day
Provide visual schedules and clear communication regarding travel plans and activity expectations
Monitor participants for signs of anxiety, fatigue, distress, or sensory overload and provide support as required
Encourage appropriate footwear, hydration, and weather-appropriate clothing
Carry first aid equipment, emergency contact information, and communication devices at all times
Ensure participants remain with the group unless alternative arrangements have been approved and documented
Staff to liaise with venue staff regarding any accessibility, behavioural, or support requirements prior to the activity
