Amaru - Medicine of the Serpent

During this weekend, we will connect to and receive the medicine of Amaru, the ancient Serpent Dragon. Amaru is the symbol of primordial feminine energy, linked to creation itself and to the powerful life force that resides within each of us. Representative of wisdom, healing and sexuality across many cultures, her medicine is vast, and potent. Ayahuasca herself is often experienced as the Serpent, and Amaru guides us through the mysteries of life, death and rebirth. She opens the channels to our own wisdom, and that of the ancient ones, and teaches us to shed our skins as she sheds hers, letting the old understandings, perceptions and identities nurture and fertilize the ground behind us. Once the skin is shed, we cannot put it back on, she teaches us to walk belly to belly with the earth embodying our new skin, embracing the cycles of creation. Amaru transcends the realms of heaven, earth, and the underworld; to awaken Amaru is to awaken a primal and intrinsic part of ourselves.
