MENTAL HEALTH

The Somatic Educator For Women training is a potent pathway to deepen your connection with your body and your emotions. Although this training is not a trauma healing program, we will touch on content that is emotional in nature, which can sometimes bring up challenging emotions.

We require for each participant to be able to process strong emotions if they come up, and to organize their own support where needed. We can recommend therapists who offer 1-1 sessions outside of the program, but this is not part of the training itself. *

I understand that this program is not a trauma healing program. It is a professional development program that entails personal work as well. I take full responsibility for my mental health during the training.

To the best of our ability and within our means, we provide equitable opportunities to potential practitioners. We choose to focus our efforts to support the training of socio-economically disadvantaged women who show particular promise as potential Somatic Educators For Women. We typically offer a 5 - 15% price reduction for the program.

We specifically offer support to women who fulfil most or all of these criteria:

Demonstrate leadership in one or more of these areas: womens work, embodiment, shadow work and somatics
Show the potential to contribute meaningfully to this work
Have already offered Meaningful contributions within their community
Are a part of one or more disadvantaged minority groups
Were born into and live in a socio-economic region/background that makes the cost of the training prohibitive.

This training requires a time commitment of 25-30 hours per month. This is for course calls and practices (every 2 weeks), and pod calls (once per month). At the end of the training, each student completes 2 practice sessions, which are assessed and given feedback. Are you willing to commit to this? *

THE “SHARE YOUR STORY” PROGRAM

We will offer a small number of women the opportunity to share their personal stories of the training throughout the year. We will use these stories to learn more about how the program is received, and share these stories with potential students and in our marketing materials. We will select these women from among the students who have completed their first payment for the training. Those who are selected will receive a partial refund of their training fee.
