The Reason Behind Community Smart Funding

Over the years, like many other people, I've seen wonderful organizations doing everything they can to make a difference in their communities—often while struggling to find the funding they need to continue their work.

I've seen humane societies and wildlife organizations working tirelessly to rescue, protect, feed, and rehabilitate animals that have nowhere else to turn.

Food banks trying to keep their shelves stocked for families who need help putting food on the table.

Schools, PTOs, sports teams, marching bands, drama clubs, churches, youth programs, community groups, and countless other organizations constantly searching for new ways to raise the money they need.

What has always struck me is that these organizations aren't asking for help for themselves. They're trying to help someone else—an animal, a child, a family, a student, a team, or an entire community.

And fundraising isn't easy.

Organizations are continually asking their supporters to donate, sell something, attend another fundraiser, or give a little more. At the same time, local businesses are also working hard to attract customers, grow their businesses, support their employees, and remain an important part of their communities.

I kept thinking:

What if we could bring everyone together in a way that helps all of them?

Thoughts become inspiration and inspiration becomes reality.

That idea eventually became Community Smart Funding.

I began working on a system that could connect three important parts of every community:

The organizations that need support.

The local businesses that want customers and want to give back.

And the people in the community who want to help.

Instead of simply asking a business for another donation, we can give that business an opportunity to offer something of value through online exposure and an offer for reduced pricing on goods and services,

Bringing a Community Together to Help One Another

Community Smart Funding wasn't created around the idea that one side should give while another side receives.

It was created around the idea that everyone can benefit by helping one another.

When someone purchases a Smart Voucher, they're not just buying an offer. They're supporting an organization while discovering a business that chose to support that organization.

When a local business participates, it's not simply another advertisement. That business is demonstrating that it cares about the community it serves.

And when an organization shares its Community Smart Funding page, it's not only raising funds. It's also helping promote the businesses that stepped forward to support it.

That creates a circle:

Organizations support businesses.
Businesses support organizations.
The community supports both.

And together, we create stronger communities.

The Journey is just getting started!

Community Smart Funding has taken time to develop because I wanted it to be more than another fundraising website.

There are thousands of organizations doing extraordinary things, local businesses working hard every day, and people who genuinely want to help.

Community Smart Funding is my attempt to bring them together in one place and give each of them a way to help the others succeed.

The mission is simple:

Help those who help others.

Support the businesses that support our communities.

And make it easier for all of us to make a difference—together.

One Community. One Purpose. Endless Possibilities.
