  1. This application form must be completed in full.

  2. Please review all Cook Team Rules & Regulations and sign the Waiver of Liability.

  3. Entry is not confirmed until payment is received.

  4. No refunds after September 15, 2025.

  5. Cook-off will take place Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Rockport Harbor, TX.

  6. A detailed follow-up email will be sent closer to the event with everything you need to know, including load-in times, setup instructions, serving times, judging procedures, and load-out info.

About the Gumbo & Jambalaya Cook-Off

This cook-off celebrates the bold, coastal flavors of two Gulf Coast classics: gumbo and jambalaya. Teams may enter one or both categories and are invited to bring their best recipes and cooking skills to the competition.

While some prep may be done off-site (e.g. chopping vegetables or cooking stock), all final cooking must take place on-site. Teams must bring their own setup, ingredients, and be ready to serve by turn-in time.

Team Expectations:

  • You’ll be assigned a designated cooking space

  • You may prep some ingredients off-site, but final dishes must be cooked and finished on-site

  • You are required to cook a minimum of 15 gallons per category entered to serve to the public

  • Turn-in times and judging procedures will be enforced

  • Judging is based on flavor, consistency, and overall execution

A detailed team packet with load-in times, setup instructions, serving guidelines, and judging schedule will be emailed to all registered teams closer to the event date.

Waiver of Liability & Release


In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Rockport-Fulton Seafair Gumbo & Jambalaya Cook-Off on Saturday, October 4, 2025, the undersigned agrees to the following:

  1. I understand the risks involved in participating and assume all responsibility for injury or loss.

  2. I release the Rockport-Fulton Seafair Committee, SCCA, City of Rockport, event staff, and sponsors from any liability.

  3. I agree to follow all food safety and competition rules.

  4. I give permission for event photos/videos of my team to be used in promotions.
