Client Consent, Privacy & Duty of Care

• I consent to participate in counselling and holistic sessions with Talk With Heart / Toorak Counselling, and I understand that all sessions are conducted in a safe, supportive, and confidential manner.

• I understand that my practitioner has a duty of care to record and report any risk of harm to myself or others, including situations involving self-harm, suicidal thoughts, or threatening behavior. This is to ensure appropriate safety and support, and will always be managed with care and professionalism.

• I acknowledge that in the case of an emergency or immediate risk, I will contact LifeLine on 13 11 14, or emergency services on 000, rather than rely on this service for crisis support.

• I consent to receive communication from Talk With Heart / Toorak Counselling regarding appointments, resources, and occasional wellbeing updates, and I understand I may opt out of non-essential communication at any time.

• I understand that my personal information will remain private and confidential in accordance with the Talk With Heart Privacy Policy, which outlines how my data is collected, stored, and used.
