Join us for a fun Teen Bowling Night in Strathpine, where weβll hit the lanes for two games of bowling, grab some food and enjoy a relaxed night hanging out with friends.
Whether youβre chasing strikes, celebrating the occasional lucky spare or just there for the laughs, itβs all about having fun, meeting new people and enjoying a supported night out with other teens.
Along the way, participants can naturally build social confidence, communication, independence, turn-taking and community participation skills in a relaxed environment.

* Slips, trips or falls within the bowling venue
* Injury while bowling, including strains, falls, dropped bowling balls or fingers becoming caught near equipment
* Collision with other participants or members of the public
* Allergic reactions or dietary concerns associated with food provided
* Emotional distress, sensory overload or anxiety due to noise, crowds or social interactions
* Challenging behaviours or conflict between participants
* Participant leaving the designated area without notifying staff
* Medical event or participant becoming unwell
* Risks associated with car parks, traffic and transport to/from the venue

* Minor injuries including bruises, strains, sprains or crushed/pinched fingers

* Use of lighter bowling balls or bowling aids where available

## Strategies to Reduce Risk
* Review participant medical information, allergies, support needs and risk assessments prior to attendance
* Maintain appropriate staff-to-participant ratios and active supervision
* Provide a safety briefing before bowling begins
* Ensure participants use appropriately weighted bowling balls and bowling equipment safely
* Participants to remain behind the bowling line and clear of mechanical bowling equipment
* Establish clear group boundaries and regular check-ins
* Monitor for signs of distress, sensory overload, fatigue or illness
* Review dietary requirements before ordering or providing food
* Supervise participants when navigating car parks and public areas
* Carry first aid equipment, emergency contacts and charged communication devices
* Adapt participation where required to suit individual abilities and support needs
