Welcome to BEBRAS 2026 Online Registration

Computational thinking is broadly defined as a collection of cognitive and creative problem-solving skills that include (but are not limited to) focusing on essential information, recognizing patterns, breaking down a bigger problem into smaller parts and systematically formulating solutions in a way that is easier for an agent (human or computer) to solve more efficiently. Computational Thinking is becoming part and parcel of our everyday lives and is a well sought after problem solving skill that is applicable in every industry sector ranging from arts and humanities, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), business, and more. Internationally, it has been incorporated into OECD’s PISA mathematics framework and assessment (https://pisa2022-maths.oecd.org), and is increasing becoming part of Singapore’s mathematics education (https://singteach.nie.edu.sg/2021/09/01/incorporating-computational thinking-in-math-classrooms-in-singapore-ideas-from-the-cte

stem-conference-2021).

We envision Computational Thinking to be an essential part of every child’s education in this digital era. The BEBRAS Challange is an international challenge on computational thinking and informatics for school students from ages 7 to 19.
