The cryolipolysis procedure is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that uses up to 4 paddle applicators to deliver controlled cooling at the surface of the skin. The procedure is suitable for the spot reduction of fat. It is not a weight-loss solution. Clinical studies have shown the results to be proven, noticeable and lasting. However, as with most procedures, visible results may vary from person to person.
What you can expect:
It is common for the treated area to feel bloated and look swollen in the first few days and weeks after cryolipolysis procedure.
You may experience stinging, tingling, aching, or cramping as the treatment begins. These sensations generally subside as the area becomes numb.
> After the procedure, the treated area may look or feel stiff and transient blanching may occur (temporary whitening of the skin). Although rare, you may feel a sense of nausea or dizziness as your body naturally warms and sensation returns to the treatment area. These are normal reactions and typically subside within minutes.
> Swelling and tenderness can occur in the treated area and may appear red for a few hours after the applicator is removed. I
> There may be a dulling of sensation in the treated area that can last several days or weeks after the procedure. Other side effects may include deep itching, tingling, numbness, tenderness, pain, cramping, and muscle spasms
> Some clients may experience a delayed onset of the previously mentioned occurrences. Contact our office immediately if any unusual side effects occur or it symptoms worsen over time.
> You may start to see results as early as two to three weeks after the cryolipolysis procedure. The most dramatic results will be visible after one to three months. Your body will continue to naturally process the dead fat cells from your body for approximately four months after the procedure.
> In rare cases, people have experienced vasovagal symptoms during the treatment, and reported freeze burn, darker skin color, hardness, discrete nodules, or enlargement of the treatment area. Surgical intervention may be required to correct the enlargement. I understand that these and other unknown side effects may also occur.
