PODCAST CLIENT SESSION CONSENT & RELEASE AGREEMENT

For participation in a recorded and published session on the Delicious Dignity podcast

This Agreement is made between the undersigned participant (“Client”) and Dilshad Mehta (“Host”), the creator and host of the Delicious Dignity podcast.

By signing this Agreement, the Client agrees to participate in a recorded session that may be edited, published, and distributed publicly as part of the Delicious Dignity podcast and related media platforms.

1. Nature of the Session

The Client understands that this is a real-time, unscripted session during which personal topics may be discussed. The purpose of this session is to offer honest reflection, insight, and supportive dialogue for the benefit of the Client and the podcast’s audience.

The session is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice, nor is it a substitute for professional support.

2. Consent to Recording and Use (with Identity Options)

The Client acknowledges and agrees that:

  • The session will be recorded using audio and video.

  • The Host may use the recording, in part or whole, at her discretion on public platforms such as podcast directories, YouTube, social media, and associated promotional materials.

  • The Client may choose one of the following identity options for publication:

    1. First name and their real picture

    2. Pseudonym (fake name) with their real picture

  • The Client must communicate their identity preference clearly prior to the session, and it will be reflected in how the content is edited and published.

  • The Host will make reasonable efforts to honor this preference but cannot guarantee full anonymity once the content is released into public platforms.

  • The Host retains ownership of the session content and may use it for podcast, educational, or promotional purposes within these boundaries.

3. Voluntary Participation and Personal Responsibility

The Client affirms that they are participating voluntarily and are under no obligation to answer any question or explore any topic they are uncomfortable with. The Client understands that:

  • They may stop or pause the session at any time.

  • They are responsible for their own emotional and psychological well-being before, during, and after the session.

  • The Host will facilitate the session with care and respect but is not liable for how the content may be received or interpreted by the public.

4. Confidentiality and Public Nature of the Session

The Client understands and accepts that this is not a private session. Once published, the content becomes part of the public domain and cannot be fully retracted.

The Host will consider reasonable requests to remove identifying information or anonymize content prior to publication, but once the episode is released, no guarantee can be made about its removal or how it is shared by third parties.

5. Technical Commitments

To ensure a smooth and high-quality recording experience, the Client agrees to:

  • Join the session from a quiet, private space with reliable internet access.

  • Use video (camera on) and a microphone or headphones to ensure clear audio.

  • Avoid distractions during the session and give their full attention.

  • Arrive on time and notify the Host at least 24 hours in advance if rescheduling or cancellation is needed.

The Host reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the session if technical standards are not met.

6. Release of Liability

The Client releases the Host and the Delicious Dignity podcast from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from their participation in the session or from the subsequent use, publication, or distribution of the content.

The Client understands that the Host cannot control how the content is interpreted, commented on, or shared by third parties once released.
