Gallery Fifty One is Charlotte’s first and only privately held boutique contemporary art gallery, exhibition space, and media studio, located fifty-one stories above the Queen City. The gallery is home to a curated program of fifty-one distinct “stories” at any given time. We encourage you to schedule a date and time to visit the gallery.

Thank you for your interest in “Fifty One Stories Above Charlotte,” a curated exhibition program presenting fifty-one distinct artistic “stories” across all creative modalities, featuring local, regional, and international artists. We maintain an Open Call for Art and submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis. This application helps Gallery Fifty One understand your work, your creative practice, and your alignment with the gallery’s curatorial vision.

Please carefully follow all submission guidelines:

Upload final artwork only. No staged mockups,
digitally placed “wall previews,” or AI-generated work.
Images must be photographed against a neutral or
clean background.
Titles in your upload must exactly match the titles
provided in this form.
All required fields (dimensions, medium, year, pricing,
file naming) must be completed accurately.

Incomplete submissions or improperly labeled files will

not be considered.

Art Selection Philosophy

Gallery Fifty One’s curatorial process prioritizes alignment over volume. While technical skill and market appeal matter, our primary consideration is whether the work contributes to the gallery’s evolving point of view.

We seek artists who bring clarity of voice, cultural depth, and professional readiness. Preference is given to cohesive bodies of work or fully resolved individual pieces that are ready for installation and sale.

We are especially drawn to work that evokes presence, invites dialogue, and leaves a lasting impression. If the work causes us to pause, reflect, or see something differently, we pay attention.
