The City of Danville is honored to recognize and celebrate the service of our veterans and
active-duty service members through the 'Banners of the Brave' program.
We are asking community members to submit applications for local veterans and active-duty service
members to be displayed on light post banners in Downtown Danville. Banners will be proudly
displayed from May through November for two years. Applications will remain open until all banners
have been reserved.
Program Details
• Eligibility: Open to veterans or active-duty military who reside, or have resided, in Boyle
County, or are members of local Veteran’s organizations in Danville (VFW Post 3436, American Legion
Boyle Post 46, AmVets Post 123, etc.)
• Each banner costs $50.
• Banners will be displayed on light posts in Downtown Danville from May through November for two
consecutive years (2026-2027)
• Invitations to renew your banner will be sent in March of 2027.
• To participate, Please submit a high-quality photo of the veteran with your application. Once your online form is received, you will be contacted for payment.
• Families, Community Organizations and Businesses are invited to sponsor banners
for local veterans.
