Join Merging Vets and Players Los Angeles for our Annual Walk to Remember this Memorial Day!
We’ll walk 4.8 miles from Santa Monica Pier (by the cannon) to the LA National Cemetery, arriving in time for their annual ceremony. This city route is stroller- and wagon-friendly, with wide sidewalks and light traffic. All are welcome as we honor and remember—together. Bring your family, friends, and loved ones as this event is open to the public and anyone is welcomed to join us!
Memorial Day is tough day for many and we don't want anyone to be alone, join us and spend the morning honoring and remembering those no longer with us. You'll be walking alongside fellow veterans, families, and supporters. No agenda other than to be on time so you can spend the time connecting with others.

Santa Monia Pier meeting area (by the cannon)
7:00 AM - Firm step off
10AM - Arrive at Memorial Ceremony at LA National Cemetery. You’re more than welcome to depart or stay, afterwards, many of us head over to the Rose Garden on West LA VA Campus for a delicious BBQ that is family friendly and full of camaraderie and community.
Parking: Many people choose to park at the pier or VA campus depending on their choice, and find way back to their vehicle via ride share, friend ride, or public transit.
**In addition to the walk, many of us also help the cemetery place flags prior to Memorial Day, this year the flag placement ceremony will be on the 24th. This is coordinated by the LA National Cemetery and Boy Scots themselves, NOT BY MVP, if you'd like to help, you can look up more info and show up to volunteer at 7:30 AM to be assigned areas. Many organizations volunteer too!
