Join us at the Marching Forward Hub in Dayboro for a relaxed social afternoon! Participants will enjoy a movie screening together while sharing delicious Indian food and casual conversation. This activity is designed to encourage social connection, confidence-building, and community engagement in a calm, supportive environment.
Indian food and snacks are provided. Participants are welcome to bring additional food or drinks if they like. Pick up & drop off: Petrie Water Mill Meeting Point

Slips, trips, or falls inside the hub

Strategies to Reduce Risk
Conduct a pre-session briefing outlining safe behaviour and boundaries
Maintain 1:1 or 1:2 staff-to-participant ratios based on individual support needs

Supervise food preparation, serving, and consumption
Ensure safe, clear walkways to prevent trips and falls
Provide quiet areas for participants who need a break
Ensure AV equipment and cords are safely positioned and secure
Encourage hand hygiene before and after eating
Monitor participants for emotional or sensory distress
Keep first-aid kits, emergency contacts, and communication devices accessible
Clean and sanitize the space before and after the activity
Debrief after the session to identify any injuries or wellbeing concerns
