NHSA Board Member Application
NHSA membership is free. As a nonprofit organization, we welcome donations when possible and are primarily supported through our education and training programs.
Service as a board member of the National Hyperbaric Safety Association (NHSA) carries an elevated responsibility to uphold and promote the highest standards of safety, ethics, and professional leadership within the hyperbaric community. Board members are expected to model compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including NFPA 99 Chapter 14 standards, ASME PVHO-1 requirements for pressure vessels, and the use of appropriately cleared hyperbaric equipment.
Board members must demonstrate a commitment to advancing hyperbaric safety through leadership, education, and accountability. This includes supporting evidence-based best practices, encouraging proper training and credentialing, promoting documented safety protocols and emergency preparedness, and reinforcing a culture of transparency and continuous improvement across the field.
By applying for a board position, you acknowledge your willingness to serve as a steward of the NHSA mission and to represent the association with integrity, professionalism, and a shared commitment to protecting patients, providers, and the future of hyperbaric medicine.
