Travel to and from the venue (bus, carpool, public transport) carries minor risks (delays, accidents, motion sickness).
Emergency evacuation (e.g., fire alarm) could cause confusion in dark or themed environments.
Potential Repercussions
Minor injuries such as bumps, scrapes, or twisted ankles.
Temporary distress or panic for participants uncomfortable in enclosed or dark spaces.
Emotional frustration or arguments among group members.
Travel-related issues such as lateness, lost items, or mild travel sickness.
In rare cases, a more serious medical issue (e.g., panic attack or allergic reaction if food/drinks are provided at venue).
Alternative Options
Provide a quiet waiting area or supervised alternative activity for participants who do not want to enter the Escape Room.

Strategies to Reduce Risk
Conduct a pre-briefing outlining the Escape Room format, rules, and exit options.
Maintain staff/adult supervision throughout, including one staff member inside each room where permitted.
Ensure all participants know they can leave the room at any point if uncomfortable.
Check accessibility requirements ahead of time to confirm suitability for participants.
Carry a first-aid kit and ensure trained staff are present.
Collect emergency contact details and note any medical or anxiety-related concerns prior to the excursion.
Confirm safe and reliable transport arrangements, including head counts before departure and return.
