APEX WATERSPORTS Co is committed to ensuring the health and safety off all participants, staff members, and accompanying people.

For your safety and the safety of others, it is a condition of entry to this site that you take a few minutes to read this briefing.

General Safety Information

· All students and visitors are required to report to the Head Instructor upon arrival.

· Students and visitors who bring medications to lessons should place these in the designated medication bag.

· Smoking, alcohol and illegal drugs are not permitted on site.

· Violent, threatening or other unacceptable behaviour is not tolerated Safety and Emergency Procedures.

· All hazards, incidents and injuries must be reported to the Head Instructor.

· All injuries, incidents and hazards shall be recorded on an incident report form and added to the register by a member of staff.

· First Aid treatment is available on site.

· In all cases of an emergency, first attempt to inform an APEX staff member where possible.

· In a life-threatening emergency make contact with emergency services by dialling ‘000’, preferably through the APEX phone located in the first aid kit.

Evacuation Procedures

· Follow directions of staff in the event of an evacuation.

· Evacuate the area and proceed to the assembly area identified during induction.

· Remain in the evacuation assembly area until advised otherwise.

In consideration for the renting and/or purchasing of kiteboarding, foiling or SUP (stand up paddle) equipment ,and/or utilising the facilities, ground school, kiteboarding, foiling or SUP instruction, premises, and equipment of APEX WATERSPORTS Co.

I hereby acknowledge and agree that:

1. The participation of kiteboarding, foiling or SUP can result in mishap and even injury and I hereby RELEASE AND DISCHARGE APEX WATERSPORTS Co and their officers, directors, elected officials, agents, subagents, employees, instructors, and owners of equipment and the land used for kiteboarding, foiling and SUP activities (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Released Parties”), from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that I may hereafter have for injuries, disability, death, or damages arising out of my participation in kiteboarding activities, including, but not limited to.

2. I understand and acknowledge that kiteboarding, foiling & SUP activities have inherent dangers that no amount of care, caution, instruction, or expertise can totally eliminate. I EXPRESSLY AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH SUSTAINED WHILE PARTICIPATING IN KITEBOARDING, FOILING OR SUP ACTIVITIES WHETHER OR NOT CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES and I further agree that I will not sue or make a claim against the Released Parties for damages or other losses sustained as a result of my participation in kiteboarding, foiling or SUP activities.

3. I agree that I will operate the said kiteboarding, foiling and/or SUP equipment in a reasonable and safe manner so as not to endanger the lives or wellbeing of persons or property of any individual.

4. I have read and understand the above and acknowledge that the same constitutes a release of liability and a waiver of my legal rights and also acknowledgment of the assumption by me of all risks arising out of engaging in kiteboarding, foiling or SUP activities.
