Where are you right now with your home?
*
Just moved in, need something quickly
Renovating or just finished, want to get it right
Current setup doesn’t feel right anymore
Not sure yet, just exploring options
When you think about your windows right now, what is the thing that bothers you most?
*
Privacy — I feel exposed and it needs resolving as quickly as possible.
Light — certain rooms are too bright, too dark, or the quality of light is wrong.
Aesthetics — the windows look unfinished and the room feels incomplete because of it.
I am not sure yet — I have not had the chance to think it through properly.
How much of the house are you looking to address?
*
Just one or two rooms — I know exactly which ones are the priority.
Several rooms — I want a consistent result throughout the main living areas.
The whole house — we need to address everything at once.
I am not sure yet — I need help assessing what each room actually needs.
Have you ever had a window treatment decision that disappointed you?
*
Yes — it looked right in the showroom but not in my room, and I’m not prepared to repeat it.
Yes — I picked too quickly under pressure and have lived with the result ever since.
No — this is my first time making this kind of decision and I want to get it right.
Not with curtains specifically, but I have made expensive home decisions I have regretted.
Which direction do most of your main windows face?
*
Mostly north-facing — we get a lot of direct sun throughout the day.
Mostly south-facing — the light is soft and indirect.
A mix — different rooms face different directions.
I honestly do not know — I have never thought about this.
What would concern you most about making the wrong choice?
*
Spending a significant amount and ending up with something I do not love.
Choosing a fabric or colour that fades, dates, or looks wrong within a few years.
Letting the windows undermine everything else I have invested in this home.
Making a decision that cannot easily be undone.
What would need to be true for you to feel genuinely confident before committing to anything?
*
I would need to see exactly how it looks in my actual room — not imagine it from a sample.
I would need someone to assess my specific rooms and tell me what they actually need.
I would need to trust the person advising me knows what they’re doing.
All of the above — I want the whole process to feel considered before I spend anything.
