1. How does your body feel most days? *

On edge and wired. Even when I sit down, my body won't let go of the tension

A bit numb, if I'm honest. I live in my head and rarely stop long enough to notice how I actually am

Tight with frustration. I say yes when I mean no, then stew about it in silence

Drained. I give my energy to everyone else, and there's nothing left by the time it gets to me

Heavy and stuck. I know I want something to change, but I can't seem to get moving

2. When someone asks, "What do you need right now?", what happens? *

My mind jumps straight to everything that still needs doing

I go blank. I genuinely don't know

I know exactly what I need, but asking for it makes me squirm, and if I do ask, the guilt kicks in

I almost laugh, because where would I even fit my needs in?

I've got ideas, but I talk myself out of them before they get anywhere

3. What role do you usually play in your family or friendship group? *

The anchor. I keep everything running smoothly, even when it wears me out

The listener. I cheer on everyone else's dreams and keep my own quiet

The peacekeeper. I smooth things over and try never to make a fuss or let anyone down

The carer. I remember the birthdays, notice when someone's not right, and look after everyone's feelings

The thinker. I read the books and talk about making changes, but I stay where it's comfortable

4. What happens when you try to rest? *

My mind races through everything I should be doing, and resting just makes me twitchy

I feel strangely flat and restless, so I drift onto autopilot, scrolling or pottering instead

Guilt creeps in within five minutes, and I'm back up doing chores or answering messages

What rest?! Someone always needs me for something

I rest, then feel lazy because I'm not doing anything about the life I actually want

5. If you could change one thing about your life right now, what would it be? *

To feel calm in my own body again, and stop feeling on edge all the time

To know what I actually want, and trust myself when I hear it

To say no without the guilt, and stop putting everyone else's feelings before my own

To have some time and energy left over for me, without having to earn it first

To stop putting my life on hold and actually start the thing I keep thinking about

6. How do you handle your own boundaries? *

I let them slide, because it's easier than dealing with the fallout

I'm not sure I know where they are anymore. I've blended into what everyone else expects of me

I set one, feel instantly guilty, then over-explain or back down

I try to protect my time, but putting others first is such a habit that I slip back every time

I make promises to myself, then drop them the moment life gets busy or scary

7. How do you get on with your own intuition? *

I can't hear it over the noise in my head. I'm too busy being on high alert

It whispers now and then, but my doubts are louder and they usually win

I hear it, but I ignore it to keep the peace

I know what it's telling me, I'm just too worn out to do anything about it

I get little sparks of knowing, then fear and overthinking talk me out of them
