Before you start

In late June our house caught fire. This community showed up for Erica and me in a way I won't forget. I'm running to serve the people who did that. Now I want to fight for you.

This is your club. You pay a lot of money without much of a choice, and your voice is the only lever you have — so use it here. Be respectful, but be frank. The Board and the people who serve you every visit should hear what you actually think, not the polite version.

I built this survey myself. It's my job interview for a seat on the Board, and yes, that makes it self-serving. If that strikes you as shady, don't fill it out, and feel free to campaign against me. If you'd rather say it to my face, let's meet at the club over a beer or a cigar.

What happens to your answers. They come to me and nobody else — not the club, not the Board, not any third party. I'll aggregate them into a single "State of Beachwalk" report and present it in open forum at a Board meeting. The report carries numbers and comments. It does not carry names.

I ask for your name and address so I know each response is real and counts once per household. That is the only thing it's used for.

I'm running for one term. In 2028 I intend to run for school board in District 5. This is my first run at anything, so wish me luck.

We live in the second wealthiest county, in one of the wealthiest states, in the greatest nation on earth. Every home here should have people bidding for the chance to live in it.
