I accept that the Coming Home Process is a 2,5 day intensive experiential educa- tional programme based on humanistic and existential principles that may, or may not, assist in personal growth. I understand that the Coming Home leaders and facilitators are not generally licensed psychiatrists or psychologists. I further understand that the Coming Home Process is not intended to be psychotherapy or medical therapy or a substitute for either. *

I acknowledge that there is no reason why participation in the course would be harmful to me during the Process or later. *

I accept that the Coming Home offers no guarantee of success from participation in the course with physical, emotional, or mental complaints, nor with improve- ment in general well-being. I accept full responsibility for my own participation in the Coming Home Process and for all results. *

I have freely decided to participate in the Coming Home retreat, a psychological process that may uncover old wounds and anxieties. As such it is likely that, in facing these past traumas, I may well experience during the process periods of emotional discomfort and transference (childhood feelings and reactions directed towards the group leaders, facilitators or staff). I understand that the leaders and/or facilitators will make every effort to help me through this discomfort, so that I may arrive at a deeper understanding of myself and thereby experience some lasting, beneficial change in my daily life. *

I understand that the Coming Home Process may involve physical contact, such as hugging, and if I do not consent to this, I will tell a leader or facilitator that I object before or at the time contact occurs.

I understand that the Coming Home leaders and facilitators intend to be respectful and compassionate in order to help participants move through old behaviours and self-beliefs. However, I am aware that during the Process, there may be times when I may experience their behaviour as challenging or confrontational. If I feel undue pressure, I will speak to one of the Coming Home leaders.

I am voluntarily choosing to participate in the retreat, and I feel sufficiently informed to make this choice. If I feel mental or physical discomfort, severe emotional distress, or adverse effects during the Coming Home Process, I will inform one of the Coming Home leaders immediately.

I understand I am free to leave the Coming Home Process at any time for any reason. I understand that I am responsible for notifying a Coming Home leader or facilitator if I choose to leave the Process. If I feel I need assistance from anyone, professional or otherwise, I take full responsibility for leaving the Coming Home Process and obtaining it for myself. If I withdraw from the Coming Home retreat for any reason whatsoever, no part of the Coming Home fee shall be refunded.

I acknowledge and agree that the Coming Home retreat, as well as my participation in the process, can be terminated at the discretion of the workshop leaders or facilitators for any reason at any time. In such event I will receive a pro rata refund of the Coming Home retreat fee.

I agree that the Coming Home retreat is a private and personal experience for each participant. As such, I agree to respect the confidentiality of all participants and their remarks and actions, and I agree to keep all such information private and confidential. I also agree to respect the confidentiality, identity, and experience of any Coming Home participant worldwide. I accept that photography, video, and sound recording are not permitted at the venue during the retreat.

I understand that on the last day of the retreat a group photo may be taken which United Inner States of Freedom Inc. may use on their website, social media, or other on or off-line marketing materials. I understand I do not have to participate in this photo. If I do participate, I give my consent for my image to be used for the purposes listed above.

I agree that my contact details (as specified by me) can be circulated, as a contact list, to my specific Coming Home retreat group. I understand that if I prefer my details not to be shared, I can opt out at any time.

I agree that any serious or persistent breach of the Terms & Conditions and Process Ground Rules, or behaviour that is detrimental to the participation of others, may result in my immediate exclusion from the course without compensation or refund.
