Whether you're a seasoned home cook or simply known as the flavor boss in your family, this is your time to shine. Milam’s Markets and the South Beach Seafood Festival are teaming up to celebrate our South Florida residents and find the best local home chef who’s got the flavor, flair, and confidence to cook under pressure and in front of a crowd, all while highlighting the incredible local talent across South Florida.
The culinary masterminds behind your favorite South Florida restaurants already know how to work a crowd. Now, with Milam's Markets, it's time to share that spotlight with the real MVPs -- our residents, our Home Kitchen Heroes. From your kitchen to the South Beach stage, Milam's Markets is ready to spotlight YOU.
Two lucky finalists will be selected to compete live on the main stage at the South Beach Seafood Festival’s Seafood Slam on Saturday, October 24.
The event will take place from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the sands of South Beach.
The 30-minute Home Chef Challenge begins at 3:30 PM.

Step 1: Create your signature seafood dish using one signature seafood protein. Bonus points if your seafood comes from Milam’s Markets.
Step 2: Upload (1) photo of the dish along with the full recipe. Tell us in 100 words or less why it's special.
Step 3: Follow @sobeseafoodfest and @milamsmarkets and tag us with your final dish on stories or in feed.

Each finalist will receive six event tickets as part of their participation. Tickets are valued at $160 each, giving each finalist a total ticket package value of $960.
If you were unable to complete an upload you may also link to a photo or video of you making your dish. (Link can be from your social media post).

If you are one of the top 2 finalists - will you be available to compete on the live stage Saturday, Oct 24th at 3:30PM? Ingredients and kitchenware will be provided to you, courtesy of Milam's Markets.
