Podcast Room Booking/Rental Agreement

This Podcast Room Rental Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between The BIZ Lounge ("Lessor") and [Customer] ("Lessee") on [Date of Agreement].

1. Rental Space:

Lessor agrees to rent the Podcast Room located in the BIZ Lounge at 3660 Barker Cypress Rd, Ste. 220, Houston, TX 77084 to Lessee for the purpose of recording a podcast session on [Date of Recording/Use].

2. Rental Period: 

The rental period shall start and end at the time reserved on the date specified above. The rental of the Podcast Room requires a one (1) hour minimum reservation. 

3. Rental Fees:

Lessee agrees to pay Lessor the agreed-upon rental fees as follows:

  • Hourly Rate: $75 (no production/editing)

  • Full Production/Editing Rate: $300 - 1st Draft of Video will be provided within 48 business hours from filming. Final edited version will be submitted within 5 business days from client approval of video and submission of all B-roll material.

  • These prices are PER EPISODE.

  • Additional charges may apply for Ala' carte' editing services and additional equipment.

4. Deposit:

Lessee shall pay a security deposit of $100 upon signing this Agreement. The deposit shall be refunded to Lessee within five (5) days after the recording session, subject to deductions for any damages or cleaning required to the space, premises and/or equipment. Lessee may also elect to have the security deposit remain on file for future sessions.

5. Equipment:

The Podcast Room rental shall include standard equipment (1 camera, 2 microphones). An SD Memory card will be provided and maintained by The BiZ Lounge for recording the content.  If you want to retain the SD Memory Card there will be a charge of $25. 

6. General Rules:

  • No smoking in building

  • Bottle beverages are allowed during the recording session in plastic containers

  • Cleaning fee (to be deducted from deposit) applies to all bookings if not left in proper order 

  • Space can be used for photoshoots/videos

  • 15+ years or older are allowed in the space

  • Furniture and decorations may be moved but put back in original place

  • No smoke machines allowed

  • Nudity is not allowed

  • Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited

7. Health and Safety Policy:

Lessee acknowledges that if experiencing COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms that may be easily transmitted in small spaces, they should refrain from booking the Podcast Room. Cancellations due to health-related concerns are non-refundable; however, bookings can be rescheduled with a 24-hour transfer notice.

8. Cancellation Policy:

Bookings can be rescheduled with a 48-hour transfer notice, subject to availability. Cancellations made less than 48-hours prior to the scheduled recording session are non-refundable. 

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution:

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration, as determined by The BIZ Lounge.

10. Restricted Access and Usage:

Access to the premises and services provided by The BIZ Lounge is strictly limited to individuals listed on this contract. Lessee shall not permit access or usage of the premises by any individual not listed on this contract.

11. Building Access

Normal business access hours are 9am - 6pm (Mon - Fri) and 10am - 4pm (Sat), SUNDAY BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. After hours access is between 6pm - 10pm. To access building/space after hours, it requires access by the Business Manger, appointment required. After 10pm, the building is completely locked and access by anyone other than an employee is restricted.

12. Video Surveillance

Video surveillance equipment is used on premises 24 hours to ensure that employees, customers, and company-owned assets are kept secure from theft, vandalism, and other forms of misconduct. Should unlawful activity be discovered, the recordings captured by video surveillance equipment will be used to the fullest extent of the law—including the possibility of disclosure to authorized third parties. Video surveillance equipment will not be used in areas where employees and customers have a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as bathrooms, changing rooms, and other private areas. Where video surveillance equipment is used the equipment will be made clearly visible and there will be notices indicating the presence of the equipment.

PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION

2. I certify that I am an authorized user of this credit card/bank account and will not dispute these scheduled transactions with my bank or credit card company; so long as the transactions correspond to the terms indicated in this authorization form.
