The role of ambassador will evolve as The Common Grove continues to grow, but we ask for now, if you desire to become or continue as an ambassador, that you agree to the role as outlined in this formbelow.

If at any point, you decide that you no longer wish to be an ambassador, please communicate with Jaeden Thomas. We understand seasons of life ebb and flow. There is no set requirement for how long you will act as an ambassador.

Role of Ambassador

1. Wear merchandise. We will go to market with two different designs, with plans to roll out 2-3 additional designs every quarter based on additional slogans. There is no need to commit to wearing every design, but we ask that you at least wear the Grace Over Gotcha design we would give you. We think of this merch a little bit like a walking billboard and we need like-minded people willing to wear the merch out and about in their everyday life!

2. Be a student of the work: Become well acquainted with the slogan you wear and be comfortable talking about it with people (either on social media or in person). Following Nikki’s social media channels is the best way to orient yourself to this work and our unique approach (LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram).

3. Social media sharing: If you have social media, please follow, repost and share our Common Grove Co posts on Instagram and The Common Grove on TikTok. We will continue to build our social media presence, but it is important that we are NOT the only social media account talking about this work. If you’re willing, share pictures of yourself wearing the merch! You can also send content directly to Jaeden to be shared on The Common Groves platforms if you prefer.

4. Create simple video content: Each month we will send you a question and ask that you record a 30-60 second response, and share on your social media (if you have social media), or send it to The Common Grove team and we will post directly.

5. Be our model 😊 We will be photographing our merch and want our ambassadors to be our models. You don’t necessarily need to be “the face” of the project, but we are hoping to demonstrate the merch in community, so we would love as many ambassadors as possible to be in group shots.

6. Participate in our online community: We will be building out an online learning community for The Common Grove, based on the Plant Family Archetypes of Advocacy, and we need your help to make that community an engaging and inviting space. The exact time commitment will vary and we can discuss on an individual basis. At this point we just ask you to agree to participate regularly.

7. Attend quarterly conversations: These will cover new slogans we will be rolling out or upcoming community events. These virtual conversations will also be important touchpoints with our co-founders and other ambassadors to discuss experiences wearing merch, what you’re learning, what is going well, and get some guidance on areas that might be sticking points. We want you to feel confident about the work and messages.

8. Participate in community in person: This aspect is still being developed, but our goal is to have not only a virtual community, but an in person one where we can meet up periodically, encourage each other in our advocacy work, learn and grow, have fun, and make an impact on our local community.
