Young Women In Leadership (YWIL) Registration

Young Women in Leadership (YWIL) is designed for high school girls (8th-12th grade) who are ready to grow, lead, and make a difference in their communities. Through this program, girls explore their leadership potential, gain confidence, and develop the skills needed to advocate for themselves and others.

YWIL is rooted in the Girls Inc. philosophy that young people are already leaders—they have the insight, ability, and passion to create meaningful change. This program helps girls deepen that leadership by connecting them with peers and mentors, building a strong sense of community, and supporting them in learning how to take collective action around issues that matter to them. In YWIL, girls will:

  • Strengthen their public speaking and communication skills

  • Learn about civic engagement

  • Build supportive peer networks and adult mentorships

  • Explore their identity, values, and community responsibilities

  • Gain confidence, purpose, and leadership experience that lasts a lifetime

YWIL meets once per month on the second Tuesday of each month (September-May) from 5:30-8:00 PM at Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis, located at 3935 N Meridian St.

YWIL is more than a leadership program—it’s a space where girls grow into empowered, thoughtful, and courageous changemakers. We believe that when girls feel seen, heard, and supported, they thrive—and so do the communities around them.

Membership cost is on a sliding scale between $0-$130 based on financial need and limited scholarship funds.
