Thank you for your interest in submitting your Clinical Case at the 10th Annual ID Week Congress in Park Rotana, Abu Dhabi, UAE this 02-03 October 2026. Kindly review the Clinical Case guidelines carefully and ensure full compliance with the submission requirements, conditions, and terms of acceptance.
General Requirements
• Clinical cases must be submitted through the official online submission portal.
• Submissions must be written in clear English.
• Only submissions received on or before 01 September 2026 will be reviewed.
• Cases must be submitted in PowerPoint format (PPT or PPTX).
• Cases should highlight unique, challenging, or educational infectious disease scenarios.
Clinical Case Presentation Structure (PowerPoint)
Your PPT must include the following sections:
1. Title Slide
o Case title
o Presenter name
o Institution
2. Clinical Background
o Patient demographics
o Relevant history
3. Presentation & Examination
o Symptoms
o Physical findings
4. Investigations o Laboratory results
o Imaging
o Microbiology findings
5. Diagnosis & Differential
o Key reasoning
o Diagnostic challenges
6. Management & Outcome
o Treatment decisions
o Clinical course
o Final outcome
7. Learning Points
o 3–5 concise takeaways for clinical practice
Formatting Specifications
• Maximum 12 slides.
• Use clear fonts, minimal text, and high-quality images.
• Patient identifiers must be removed to ensure confidentiality.
• Avoid excessive animations or decorative elements.
Review & Selection
• Cases will be evaluated by the UAE ID Week Scientific Committee.
• Selection criteria include educational value, clarity, diagnostic reasoning, and relevance to infectious diseases.
• Top 3 cases will be selected for 10-minute oral presentation during the congress.
Awards
• Winners will receive recognition certificates during the closing ceremony.
PRESENTING AUTHOR INFORMATION
The presenting author is the abstract submitter and is responsible for presenting the abstract during the poster evaluation session at the congress.
