The plumber doesn’t install style — they install function.Specs must be clear before they ever drill a hole.

Make comprehensive rough & finish fixture list
Verify supply chain lead times for specialty items
Prepare warranty & serial number tracking system
✅ Plumber signs off on fixtures + quantities
✅ Confirm trim kits match valve brands
✅ Document receipts in Expensify with category codes
✅ Label delivery stages: “Rough-In” vs “Finish”
✅ Create Backup Supplier Plan for shortages
Purpose:Ensure onsite framing and inspections support smooth rough-in.
Confirm all blocking for shower valves, ADA bars, wall-hung toilets
Input inspection dates into PM calendar
Protect the schedule by handling any prep issues NOW

✅ Verify waste & vent penetrations required
✅ Stage dumpster plan for packaging + scrap
✅ Confirm no Change Orders pending before work begins
💡 Pro Tip:
Before the plumber arrives, perform a home walkthrough with the spec packet in hand — every fixture location must be ready.
Purpose:Ensure code compliance & working accuracy before walls close.
✅ Walk job with plumber AND homeowner to confirm heights & placement
✅ Ensure ALL rough-in valves, pans, drains are onsite
✅ Keep PM available for questions (plumbers will not wait)
✅ Approve routing of supply and waste lines (avoid structural issues)
✅ Photo every plumbing line → before drywall

Compliance Focus:Slopes, air admittance, trap arm lengths, fire-blocking around penetrations.
Purpose:Hold payment UNTIL all field requirements are validated.
